Chapter Twenty one - A night to remember.

Darla P.O.V

" Darla ?" I heard someone whisper , I groaned ignoring the voice. "Darla, wake up."

Suddenly I could feel my body shaking , I groaned and opened my eyes ...... I froze as I came face to face with Sofia.

"Sofia ?" I whispered then I shot up, then I stared at her. " You're alive !?!"

" Yup, it would seem that I am." She said smiling.

" Omg ! You're alive .....like really alive." I squealed excitedly then without thinking I threw myself at her , hugging her tightly. " It worked.....Oh Sofia it worked !!

" Darla, what did you do ?" She asked sounding confused.

" It doesn't matter.....all that matters is that you're here." I said smiling then I got off the bed and walked to my wardrobe.

" What size are you ?" I called to her.

" 12." She said and I jumped because she was right behind me.

" Okay...well I'm a size 14 so erm...." I mumbled as I picked out a white t-shirt and some jeans, I handed her the clothes.

" Thank you." She said.

" I will be right back , I just need to get everyone together." I said

" Darla, are you sure about this ?" She asked looking worried.

" What ? Don't you want to see Damien and Axel ?" I replied " Sofia , they miss you so much."

She sighed then smiled.

" Okay , I'm just nervous." She said smiling still then I ran out of the room to find the others.

I found Damien and May in the kitchen eating my cake and Axel was in the office.

" Right , the reason I have brought you all here is because there is something I really want to tell you." I said smiling then I glanced to my side to see Sofia hiding in the shadows. " Don't get mad but I did one more spell and I have given up my magic."

" What ? Why ?" I heard Axel ask frowning.

" I did it so that the spell would work and also I have to offer some blood.....but anyways enough of that...I have a surprise for you all." I said as I walked towards Sofia but she started to back away. " It's okay." I reached a hand to her which she took and smiled then I pulled her towards the others. " Guys..... I want you to meet....... Sofia."

I stud in front of the others , holding onto Sofia's hand as the others stared in shock at us.

" It can not be ! She is dead!" Axel choked out , his eyes filling up.

" Sofia ?" I heard May say in disbelief then I look at Sofia and let go of her hand then suddenly she bolted to Axel and wrapped her arms tightly around him burying her face into his neck , I watched as he was frozen then suddenly he wrapped his arms tightly around her waist and placed his head on her shoulder. I could hear him mumbling but couldn't make out what he was saying.

" Darla ?" I heard Damien say then I watched as he stud up, walked to me then placed his hands on my waist. " You gave up your magic for mom ?"

I nodded then smiled.

" Thank you." He whispered then he hugged me tightly.

A few hours later.......

The ball is in full swing , Axel and Sofia stud at the top of the hall , looking like a king and queen, I smiled softly at this.

" May I have this dance , My lady." I heard someone ask behind me, I turned to see Damien smiling at me with his hand out , smiling back at him I took his hand and was pulled into his arms.

" You enjoying yourself." He asked looking down at me as we danced.

" Yes....It is wonderful." I replied as I rested my head on his chest.

We danced like this for what seemed like ages then suddenly I felt Damien become uneasy , frowning I looked at him feeling concerned.

" Everything okay?" I asked.

" Yes." He said then he sighed as he grabbed my hand. " Come with me."

He pulled me through the crowd towards the front door.

" Where are we going ?" I asked feeling confused but he didn't answer , he continued to pull me through.

Once we were outside , he glanced around and started to pull me down the road.

" Damien ?" I asked " Where are you taking me ?"

We came to a small hill then he turned to look at me , I watched as he reached into a pocket and produced a blindfold. Frowning I wondered what he was doing.

" Turn around." He said as he let go of my hand, he placed the blindfold on me. I suddenly felt uneasy as he took my hand and gently pulled me forward.

" Where are we going ?" I questioned.

" Just a little place that I found." He said.

A minute later...

" Okay.....Here we are." I heard Damien say then I felt the blindfold been taken off, I gasped as I saw the scene in front of me. There was a small gazebo with fairy lights all over it , I slowly walked up to it.

" What is this ?" I asked then I turned to see Damien on one knee holding a ring box out, I covered my mouth in shock. " D...Damien."

" Darla, we have been through a lot since we have met and I wouldn't change it for the world and to be honest when you ran away.....it made me realise how much I loved you that I didn't want you to leave again ..... so Darla....Will you marry me ?" He said.

" Yes." I whispered as I started to cry then he took my hand and placed the ring on, I looked down at the ring .....it was perfect , I threw myself at him, he hugged me tightly.

He pulled away slightly and looked down at me smiling.

"We better head back." He said smiling then he took my hand and we walked back.
