" I don't smoke, but I'll pour me a drank," Tony said brushing up against me as he walked through the door way . "Do you want something," he yelled from the kitchen? "I'll just take a soda, thank you," I replied. I sat on the floor waiting for him to get back. He came back and sat on the floor by me. Handing me my drink, Tony asked me, "What's up with you ma?"

I took a deep breath, "I just lost my baby and on top of that I found out Black has a baby with my best friend," I replied. He sipped his drink. I lit my blunt. "Damn and your still with him," Tony questioned? "It's not so simple," I replied. I love Black. I know he loves me too, he just has a fucked up way of showing it. "What do you want Shay," Tony asked me? I didn't know what to say, I haven't been asked that question in a long time. I pulled from my blunt again. "I don't know," I replied exhaling. Black's doing and saying all the right things now, but I'm wondering if it's just all too late. We've been through so much, I think my love for him has faded. Tony came over and hugged me. I took my chance to just close my eyes, inhale his aroma, and feel safe. Even if it was only for a second. I could feel his strong arms wrapped around my body. His chest on mine, I felt his heart racing just as fast as mine was. He pulled back from me and looked me in my eyes. "Your a strong beautiful woman , don't let anyone make u feel less than that," Tony said kissing my forehead. I looked into his eyes. Tony gently placed his lips onto mine. I pulled back, "I can't Tony, this is wrong," I said stopping him.

We heard the front door open. I ran into the guest room while Tony cleaned our messes. I jumped in bed and pretended to be sleep. Black comes in. He got on his knees next to the bed and pulled out a diamond ring. "Baby, wake up," Black said. I pulled the cover from over my head. I look up, Stacey and Tony are at the door watching. Black cleared his throat, "Will you marry me, Shayla Dianne Briggs?"
