"Pinaglaruan ng Tadhana"

Chapter 1

Juan's PoV

Eto nanaman ako. Magisa. Nakatingin sa kawalan.

Kawalan. Kawalan ng pagkain! Wala akong makain. Gutom na ako! Antagal naman kasi nung babaeng yun eh. Kung hindi ko lang talaga mahal yun eh. Tsk tsk tsk.

Nakalimutan ko na tuloy magpakilala. Juan Matteo Guevarra is the name. 4th year high school sa Plains International High School. Matangkad, kayumangi at medyo payat. Sabi din nila may itsura daw ako, kaso di ako naniniwala sa sabi sabi.

So ayun na nga, hinihintay ko si Michaela, yung babaeng matagal ko nang gusto kaso natatakot ako kasi crush ng bayan yan, tapos rich kid pa kaya wala akong lakas ng loob para magtapat at manligaw.

Winish ko talaga na maging magkaklase kami ngayong last year namin sa highschool kasi since 2nd year crush ko yan. Ngayong 4th year bukod sa magkaklase kami, magka tropa pa. Yun lang, tropa lang turing sakin.

"Kanina ka pa?" Mahinhing tanong ni Michaela.

"Malamang, anong oras ba usapan? Di ba 4? 5 na po kamahalan."

"Sabi ko naman sayo mauna ka na pag na late ako, magagalit pa sayo mga kagrupo natin. Ikaw pa naman leader."

"Yaan mo na. Lumipas na yung oras eh. Di naman natin maibabalik yun."

"Luh! Drama neto. Bala ka nga dyan. Iwan na kita."

"Lakas neto, hinintay po kita kamahalan tapos iiwan mo ako."

"Tara na!"

Madalas ganito ang set up namin, susunduin ko sya pag may lakad ang tropa o may groupwork at kagrupo ko sya, hihintayin kahit late na para lang masiguro na makakarating sya ng ligtas. Sabi nga ng mga kaklase namin bagay daw kami eh, sya lang talaga hindi naniniwala kasi aral daw muna sya.

Hindi lang naman kasi sya puro ganda, matalino at mabait din sya. And actually sya ang kalaban ko sa top. For being the Valedictorian. Kaya di ko alam kung magpapaubaya ba ako o tutuparin ko pangarap ko. Hayyss. Buhay nga naman.

Natapos na namin yung project na requirement namin for graduation. It's actually a research project at kami bahala sa topic. Iprepresent na namin yun bukas. And as usuall ako ang speaker ng grupo, ako leader eh.

"Good morning Ma'am, Good morning classmates. Our group decided to research about "Why our generation spends more time in using gadgets and other electronic devices?". In our survey we conducted from different schools and residences around the Metro Manila, it concludes that it was the effect of the wave of modernization and globalization. That which our country riding on.

The present generation of mankind is so much depending on gadgets and electronic devices. They say that it is produced to make our lives better to live but it somehow teaches us to be lazy and depending.

(Syete! Ang ganda ng ngiti sakin ni Michaela, mas lalo akong ginanahan. All right! Hehe.)

But one of the good things that technology has, is that it connects people around the globe. It was now easy for us to communicate with our family, friends and relatives even they were so far, in just a blink if an eye. It also features different ways in how we can be promote and present our nation towards the international society."

"Very good Mr. Guevarra. Impressive speech as usuall. But I still have a question. What does your research wants to prove?, I want it to be answered by one of your groupmate."

(Nagtaas agad si Michaela ng kamay.)

"Yes Ms. Rivera"

"Our research wants to prove that it really depends on the people what will be the effect or impact of the technology to his/her life. That no matter how important technology is, we still have practices and exercises that must be done manually, with our bare mind and work."
