He wasn't healed, but he was significantly better. Although he was still cold with them at times, the boys learned to work around his attitude in order to make him smile. They never took anything he said or did to heart because they understood that his actions still haunted him and he was simply trying to find a way to control his fear.
They worried about his sleeping schedule as well. There were times when he woke up in the middle of the night with scold sweat running down his body due to the intensity of the dream, no, of relieving the nightmare of when he had killed his step-father. If he didn't wake up in sweat, he'd wake up in tears. Jimin never failed to hear his whimpers as he slept, and with three being packed into one room, Hoseok also took notice of how a form squirmed on the bunk on top of Jimin's.
They tried to help him as best as they could. Sometimes Taehyung would calm down in his sleep when Jimin or Hoseok climbed up into his bunk and hugged him. If that didn't work and he woke up, then they'd try to talk with him.
It also helped that the fans were throwing their support and love towards him left and right. They had found that Taehyung had been hospitalized when those girls were taking pictures of the boys at the hospital. They had deemed it odd that Taehyung was the only one who didn't get off and immediately started spreading the pictures and theories online.
Slowly but surely, Taehyung came back to them. It took them a year to stop the nightmares and to bring his boxy grin back, and it took them half a year afterwards to bring back his overly cheerful 4D personality.
Never again did Taehyung do anything to remotely harm himself. Whenever he felt depressed again to the point in which he even thought of taking his life again, he immediately went to one of the guys so they could calm him down, or he called Sejin-nim or Hobeom-nim because they were both helpful in his situation.
His family were all okay as well. They had moved houses, not wanting to have bad memories whenever they walked through that threshold.
The other half of the year was the best. Taehyung barely showed any signs of depression anymore. He had become more energetic, happier than they had all seen him. Eventually, they no longer had to look after him because he had healed. And just as he had promised, they were fine.
Well that marks the official end of this story. It was meant to be a five-shot but someone (you know who you are) encouraged me to write one more chapter, sorry its so short by the way, so that you could all see what happened next. Again, story inspired fully by kezlovervamp with her story "His Boxy Smiles

And that little insert at the bottom. Luck with the feels, I'll explain in a few months. -Evil grin-
BYEEE!
...
It was odd how their culture's beauty standard encouraged men to be pale to be considered attractive, but this was not his ideal idea of achieving said standard. He missed the dark shade of his skin; there was nothing attractive of his paleness. The dark bags in his eyes were outlined, and the burns on his body popped out in vibrant color against Hoseok's skin.
He would never admit it aloud, but he missed Hoseok and his overly cheerful personality; he missed seeing him smile.
Yoongi missed everyone's smiles.
