Chapter 5

After some time, the rest of the group finally saw the three others come back. The teachers were relieved that nothing had happened to the middle school French teacher. Little did they know that 'nothing had happened' is an understatement. But it wasn't very important--to certain people, at least. Madame jumped back off the rock that Terra had placed her on, and she had a very normal expression on her face--or, whatever would be "normal" for Madame. The other four teachers just stared at her.

"So, what'd I miss?" Madame asked.

"Oh, these girls just explained some more about the IOs, who they are, what they do, how they do it--whatever "it" is--you know, that sort of stuff," Mrs. Leman summed up. "How was your...flight?"

"Oh, it was..." Madame groped for the right word, "incredible," she said, glancing slightly at Hexa. "Truly incredible." Evidently, she had figured out the "trigger word" Hexa meant.

"Well, I'm guessing you six would probably want to go home sometime very soon," NONAME calmly said. All the teachers nodded vigorously.

"Very well, then," NONAME said. "Hexa?"

"Will do," she replied. And with a swift gesture of her magical hands, all the teachers were back where they were before their...encounter with their students. No time had passed at all.

The next day was the last day of the girls' seventh-grade school year. And the teachers had an entire summer to forget.

And that's just what they did...all that had happened felt like only a dream to them, but those girls remembered all that had happened that day...
