DeAndre -

"Song a different song."

"Why?"

"I don't know the words to this one..."

It was the first day day of classes. Zero week was pretty wack, minus the parties that were going on every night. I went to two of them. I wanted Mar to come out with me, but he stayed in the room, trying to get ahead in class work already.

I had a feeling that he didn't want to go because of me. I don't know what he is dealing with, but I wish he would hang with me more often. I can't lie, I gotta small feel for him. But I do like the way we were as friends, and I still didn't know him that often. Plus, he kept trying to get me to tell him what I was thinking. Not to say he was trying to probe me, but he wanted to know my look on things...

I don't think I was ready to tell him all of that deep stuff yet. I was honestly just fine messing with him and keeping my feelings to myself.

"Jiggle, Jiggle, pop, pop,"

"My hips love to rock, okay,"

We were getting ready for our first class. We both had 9 am math, but he had calc and I had college algebra.

"My weave in tight, HUH,YAHH" we both yelled. Our eyes had locked because of our goofiness, and we busted out laughing.

Mar was picking his nappy ass hair as I was twisting mine. I asked him to do it but he wouldn't. He's a lazy ass.

"What else?" I said. "Something hype."

"That wasn't hype for you?" Mar said, parting his hair and adding grease to it.

"It was but I wanna hear sumn' else thooouuughhh," I whined.

"You must have bad taste if that wont hype for you," he said, side-eyeing me.

He say with the smart comments. But, it only made him cuter.

I bring my arms around him so that he can't move his arms and lay my head on his shoulder. "Please, babyyyyyyyy," I said .

"Nigga, we not together, and still-". He paused with a grin growing across his face. "Duh, nuh, nuh..."

"Oh my god, this again." I said letting go quickly and rolling my eyes. I went back to twisting my hair.

"Duh, nuh, nuhhhhh...."

"Noooooo, shut up. That song is overplayed!" I yelled, him still singing.

This I did not expect. Maurice tackle me into my bed, pinning me down. He got over top of me while still singing. "That boy is a real Maurice pleaser," he said smirking getting closer. I couldn't help but lock myopia and smirk back. "Small world, all his hoes know me," he sung as he leaned in. His dingy voice only made it more unbearable. I wanted to kiss him so bad.

But, he past my lips and went straight to my ear and whispered "Thought you were getting a kiss boyyy," he said laughing at me. "But I will give you this one," he said and kissed me
on the cheek.

"Let's go roommate, we got class!" He said getting off of me and looking for a shirt to put on. This kid....there was something different about him. And I honestly loved it. He was something else.

Maurice -

"NO." I exclaimed while walking to the quad.

"Why not, yeen gone do shit else next week but sit in the room!" Dee said, sternly looking at me.

"So, I don't need to be getting drunk just yet. Not until my grades are good and set in stone."

"Just come to the paint party with me."

We now stood on the steps of our IT building looking at each other. He want going to let me not go.

"....fine." I said, rolling my eyes. He hugged me.

"Thank you, boo," he said.

"Whatever, nigga."

As soon as we got into the building, we immediately had to split. My class was on 2nd floor while his was on first.

When I got to my classroom, there was a gorgeous guy outside of the classroom. As in 'I would do some things to him' gorgeous. Can't lie though, light skin wasn't my type though.

Still. He looked bored, so why not speak. We're going to be class mates anyway.

Jay -

I had made my was to the IT building 30 minutes early to use my computer. I had to finish up some work before class.

I only came to school here in Florida because shit in Virginia was getting to hectic. No, I am not running from my problems. I wanted to start anew. I'm always reminded of my problems when I receive a text or message saying "I'm sorry", "Stop ignoring me", "I apologized, what else do you want?". An apology could not fix what has happened at home.

I finished up early and decided to go up to the classroom and wait for class to start. The door was locked, so I just stood outside and waited for the teacher. As I waited, a dark skinned boy just a little shorter that me walked up.

""Hi," he said, cheesing his ass of. He had a cute smile. I looked at his shirt. It was of Goku sipping on some lean wearing Bape.

He's a nerd, I thought.

"What are you doing waiting outside the classroom?" He said, looking so confused.

"Uhh, the door is locked...?" I said, confused back. Please don't tell me this guy was dumb too.

"Oh," he said. "I'm slow."

"...what's wrong with you?" We both said. I could see in his eyes he was mulling something over.

"Sorry," he said rubbing his head. "Not to be rude, but the look in your eye. You look...hurt." He said. He was perceptive. I like this kid.

"I can say the same about you," I said. "You seem to be blocking some feelings." Because I know that look all to well.  I feel like our problems are similar. I told myself I wouldn't get starched to anyone, but this kid was different. He was...like me.

"Oh, I'm Maurice by the way." He said holding his hand out. I dap him up.

"Call me Jay. Jay Cruise."
