The school was similar to what I had pictured but less High School Musical and more Mean Girls. It was larger than my school in England and the first day was particularly overwhelming. The majority of the people there had known each other for years and were unwilling to speak to me. I didn't have anyone to sit with at lunch so instead I sat in a toilet cubicle alone. I had had enough. This had been one of the main themes throughout my life and once I had at last made friends in England they were taken away from me. The only comfort I found in that cubicle was the salty taste of tears as they fell down my cheeks and into my mouth.
The last period was history. The teacher was severe woman with calculating eyes and cropped greying hair. I waited with anticipation as she scanned the classroom to find a place for me to sit. Then she lifted a sausage-like finger towards a boy sitting in the back. "Next to Jacob please." She said. I meandered over to the desk and then as I had a closer look at the boy I paused. Jacob Sartorius! Here? At this school? THE Jacob Sartorius? This was my chance!
Jacob's POV
My cheeks began to flush. Damn she was hot. What should I say to her? Hey I'm Jacob? Or do I play it cool and not say anything? I took a deep breath as she sat down next to me.
