"So how'd you manage to survive on the run by yourself for do long? And without a satyr. Even demigods on the run seen to find one eventually." Piper asked as she showed me the lava rock wall.

"Well," I started, "I came across one kid. He was. . . Different. He had a limp and a goat laugh thing he did when he was nervous. He would always look aroumd like something was following and he was really jumpy. I left him one night so the monsters wouldn't get him too."

"Yeah that description sounds like a satyr." We kept walking around the camp. Piper telling me about each area and made sure I knew where everything was.

"So do you have ADHD or dyslexia? Most demigods do."

"No," I awnsered. Although I could have my hyper moments I didn't have ADHD. I alsodidn't mention that I had mild social anxiety.

Piper showed me where the cabins were and wich god/goddess the cabin belonged to.

"So that concludes the tour," Piper announced. "What do you think?"

"It's nice here," I repiled. Too bad I won't be staying. I added in my head. "Who do you think my godly parent is?" I asked instead.

"Well you lived with your mom right?" I nodded. "So all the goddesses are out. You should be claimed soon though."

"Claimed?" I asked. Piper opened her mouth to reply but she was interrupted.

"Piper!" A girl screamed. "Your needed in our cabin!" A girl with black hair Asian features and too much makeup. I held my breath. It was her. She was older now, around 18, but it was still the girl who bullied me for years. Drew.

"Okay. I'll be there in a few minutes," Piper said. The girl sauntered away and Piper turned to me looking apologetic. When she saw the panicked look on my face her face changed to concerned. "Are you ok? You look like you've seen a goast."

"What's her name?" I asked quietly, my voice shakey.

"Her? That's my half-sister, Drew," Piper told me, I could tell she wasn't too happy about being related to her. I ran my hand through my hair. "Are you ok?"

I shook my head. "She. . . She used to bully me when I was younger. Before I ran away." Tears were in my eyes and my voice was shakey. Seeing her brought up so many bad memories that I had buried deep down.

"Lets get you to the Hermes cabin. Do you think you'll be ok with them?"

"Maybe," I awnsered.

"I'll take you there then once the problem is solved I'll come and get you. Is that ok?" I nodded. Piper smiled and led me to the one cabin that actually looked like a cabin at a regular summer camp.

She opened up the door and yelled, "Connor! Travis! Get over here!" Two teens came over. They had the same curly sandy blond hair and mischievous looks in their eyes. The only difference between the two was that one was a lottle taller than the other.

"Y/n this is Connor and Travis Stoll. Their the Hermes cabin counselors. Connor, Travis this is y/n. She's new. Be nice!" Piper ordered. The two boys nodded. Piper ran to a pink cabin that reeked of perfume.

"Why don't we take you inside," one, maybe Connor, said.

They handed me a sleeping bag and showed me to a corner. I just noticed how packed the cabin really was.

"Make yourself at home, Travis said. "And don't forget to watch your wallet while your here." He wispered the last part and I remembered that Hermes is the god of thieves. I nodded and sat on the sleeping bag, my back aginst the wall. The boys left to go do whatever Hermes kids do in their free time.

I looked aroumd. The cabin was definetly crowded. They were fitting about 25 to 30 kids in a cabin meant for about 15. Most of the kids were talking loudly, throwing things at each other, or planning pranks. I didn't get up to talk to anyone. I just observed. I could have been there an hour or a few minutes but eventually Piper came back.

"How about some sword fighting practice?" She suggested. I smiled and nodded. I couldn't wait until I actually knew how use my sword.

I stood and followed piper to the arena. There were multiple pairs of teens sparing, and some fighting with dummies. Some used swords while others used dagger, javilins, or bows and arrows.

"I might not be the best to teach you sword fighting considering I use a dagger," Piper said. "But my boyfriend, Jason, or one of my other friends might be able to. Is that ok?"

I bit my lip and played with the pendant on my necklace, one of my nerviouse habbits. "Will you still be around?" I asked uneasily. Piper nodded. "I guess."

"Jason! Percy!" Piper called. Two boys jogged over. I recognized the blond as the one who found me the day i arrived. The one with back hair and green eyes was new to me. "Jason. Percy. This is y/n she's new to camp. Can one of you teach her how to use a sword?"

"Sure I can," the one with black hair said.

"Thanks Percy," Piper said. Percy nodded and turned to me.

"Do you have a sword yet?" I nodded. "Well let's see it." I hesitantly reached for my pendednt and pulled it off. Once the sword was its full size Percy inspected it. "Its similar to mine," he noted.

He pulled a ball point pen from his pocket and uncapped it. It grew into a three foot long sword made of the same bronze as mine. They did look similar. They had lots of small differences, but the main difference was that mine was smaller to fit me better.

"Ok," he started. "This is the proper stance when sword fighting." He stood in a certain way and I tried to mimick him, he walked over and adjusted me slightly. As he did that I tensed. "Make sure your relaxed," he added. I nodded.

Percy taught me some basic moves and gave me small tips whenever he could. He seemed impressed even though I felt stupid and like I was doing everything wrong.

"You're not too bad. You catch on fast." I smiled in thanks at the compliment. "You can go ahead and put your sword up that's enough for today." I nodded and touched the tip of my sword to the chain.

Piper started to walk back up to me but stopped halfway to me. She was starting abouve my head wide eyed. So was Percy, Jason, and evryone in the arena.

I hated the attention and looked abouve me to see a strange holograph.

"W-What's going on?" I asked Piper nervously.

"Your being claimed," she awnsered.
