Brilliant stars
Glimmer in the moonlightStaring afar,
At the unfathomable expanseSimple, yet beautiful
Ancient, yet juvenile
Harmless, yet feared
Endless, yet limited
Flawed, yet perfectIts formidable presence entices many
To gaze overhead
Quells those consumed with thought,
With a single glanceGaping faces stare upon the large expanse,
Wide eyes fixated on inevitable darknessUntil tomorrow.
When the moon will beckon the sun to come near,
The stars will play hide and seek,
And the darkness will fall victim to its only successor: l i g h t
