Ice cream and ha what?

Lucas pov:
"Maya I am so sorry!"
Lucas had just accidentally spilled his ice cream all over maya. Which to be honest was kinda funny and a little hot but this was not good. Cause if you know maya you know that she is not gonna be happy about having ice cream all over her!
"You don't have to be sorry huckleberry it's ok" maya said. it reminded me of that night at the campfire.. wow that seems like such a long time ago. Now that the triangle is officially over it's like me and maya don't even talk anymore.
"Uuhhmm oh ok are you sure?" I ask uncertain, all of these emotions suddenly coming back at just the thought of that one night! I didn't know what to say. I didn't know if she was doing this on purpose just to mess with me or she was genuinely ok with it...yeah the 1st one sounds more likely. Ok hart I can play this game again. Bring it on!!
"Yeah cowboy, your a good guy. I know you wouldn't do something like this in purpose!" She says again just like the night of the campfire. Wow she is really trying isn't she?
"You can stop now if you want. Or wait are you gonna go and tell my sister?" I say now trying to get to her. And as soon as I see her glare at me I knew it worked!
"You know what cowboy?!" She asked getting a little frustrated "what pancake?" I asked just like a gentleman of course "Haa-Huur...." I didn't let her finish I took her face in my hands and held her close just like the night of the campfire but this time I didn't back down. I kissed her. And it was the best decision of my life. Until....
"What is going in?!!!!!"
Me and maya break apart and see a very angry Riley standing in the door way of topangas. Not good!
"Riley it's not what it looks like! I promise!" I say trying to convince her that she didn't just walk in on me and her best friend kissing.
"Maya what's going on?" She asked maya Riley was almost in tears. I really felt bad now. But I definitely do not regret that kiss!
"Riley! Hey honey! Um Lucas was just trying to help me with....my.. relationship with josh! Yeah he was just giving me tips on what dating a hot guy is like! Right Lucas??" She said I had no idea what to say. I can't believe she just made all of that up so easily. " uhhh right yeah that's exactly what we were doing! Just helping out a friend!" Gosh that word 'friend' it's hard for me to even say now! But I try to play along with Maya's little plan to keep Riley safe from the real world. The Riley comity! But I don't know how long I'm gonna be able to stand lying to Riley any more especially about this! I still have feelings for maya and I think I always will. I wanted to pick maya so bad. But maya stepped back as always she loves Riley to much for anything bad to happen to her so she told me to pick Riley and you have no idea how hard it was to leave her there alone but I knew she would never let herself win I knew she would never let me pick her. Because that's who maya is. She's a little rough around the edges and she might be a little broken but she's one of the nicest people you will ever meet she cares for her friends all most as much as I do! And she will do absolutely anything for them even if it means hurting herself in the process.
"Oh ok if that's all it was then ok!" Riley said believing us of course she would never think that her best friend and her boyfriend would lie to her! "Lucas! You should go get some smoothies for you and Riley! I have to go but thanks for the tips huckleberry!" She said once again stepping back for her best friend. I watched her as she left topangas she looked so beaten and so beautiful. But I have to be there for Riley right now. But one day I will be there for maya! And I will never leave!
