The project

Maya's pov:

"Ok so today we are going to start our week long parenting project."
Great that means I'm gonna have to be partnered up with some kid that I don't like! I was actually starting to like health until this stupid thing popped up out of no where like why do we need this anyway??!
"Your partners are..."
I tuned him out until I heard Riley's name
"Riley and Farkle
And Maya you'll be with Lucas. Everyone know who they're partners are?"
Huh I got huckleberry well this should be interesting
*we all nod in unison

~time skip to topangas~

"So do You wanna come to my house and work on the project?" Lucas asked me
"Sure" I say un excitedly I'm really not looking forward to this stupid thing! And I know huckleberry's gonna make me do stuff so I can't bail on it. Ugh he's so annoying!
We got to Lucas's house and we're greeted by his mom
"Mayaaa it's so nice to see you again!" She said while giving me a hug I smile "nice to see you too Mrs. Friar!" I've always loved his mom always so sweet and inviting and she always loved me for some reason but I'm not complaining "mom Maya's probably gonna be over here a lot this week we have a project due by the end of the week." He said " oh that's fine! The more the merrier!" She said going back to the kitchen where she was cooking dinner " oh I'm sorry maya will you be staying for dinner?" Mrs Friar asked " oh um I don't think so I don't want you to have to go out of your way"
"Oh please your staying for dinner! Meat loaf and mash potatoes!" She cut me off "well I guess I'm staying" I say and she smiles
Me and Lucas go up stairs to his room and start working on the project
" so what do you think we should do for the visual part of the project?" He asked
"I don't know your the brains of this what do you want to do?" I say "well I was thinking we could make a poster about the human body. And I hope you don't think that I'm gonna do all the work." He says gosh he's annoying "yes huckleberry I know that! But I don't know what you want me to do if I have no idea what we're even learning in that class!" I say "well if you payed attention once in a while you would know!" He said "look huckleberry if you want my help on this you better not talk to me like that" I say "oh yea? What are you gonna do?" He asked ugh he gets on my nerves. "I'll tell Riley what you said!" I say with a mischievous smile "what did I say?" He said confused "you said that you've always wanted to marry her and that you want to move to Texas with her and be a veterinarian and be her prince!" I say knowing that he has never said that he's way to scared. Besides I know he's been feeling differently. I don't really know what that means but you can tell he's not as into his relationship with Riley as he used to be.
"What?! I've never said that!" He says "so? She'll believe anything I say!" I tell him "fine! Your really aggravating some times you know that?" He's says "I'm aggravating?! Look who's talking!" I say " please I'm a delight!" He says all cocky "you keep telling yourself that princess" I say and we just start working ok the project again until his mom called us to dinner "so how's the project going?" She asks "good we had some problems but we're good now" Lucas says glaring at me I just role my eyes and take a bite of the meatloaf "o my gosh! This is amazing!" I say this is the best thing I've ever tasted! "Oh well thank you dear! I learned from my mother! She was the best cook that has ever lived" she said very proud of her mother I didn't doubt what she said though "I'm sure she was to make something like this!" I say smiling at her "will you be staying for dinner all week? I only ask so I can get a heads up on how much I need to make!" She says "I mean if it's ok with you!" I say "oh it's no trouble! I would love to have you for dinner!" She says "well then ok! Thank you!"
We get done with dinner and I say my goodbye to Mrs Friar "I'll walk you home" Lucas says a gentleman as always actually that's one of the things that annoys me the most about him. How nice he is all the time it drives me crazy! "Thanks huckleberry but I'm fine by myself" I say "are you sure cause I'm fine with it!" He says I smile "I know huckleberry. But really I'm ok!" I say giving him a kiss on the cheek and then I leave. We've gotten closer ok? It's normal now that I do that! And he does usually walk me home he always insists that he does or that I might get hurt. And I usually let him but I already spent to much time with him tonight and if I spent another minute with him I don't think I could handle it! I haven't told anyone this I've just played along with rileys thing about me having an identity crisis and swallowed my feelings for him but I do have those feelings still! And I don't want to hurt Riley so as long as I don't spend too much time with him I can handle it!
