I stay up at night every day thinking "what would happen if I had stayed home?".
Would I be going to Junkies party on Tuesday night? Would I have gone to school to come home to quite a fright?
Would I be getting tipsy off the way guys exposed those oh so lovely upper bodies-or would they be oogliling at the way my shirt doesn't quite cover my boobies?
Would I be getting a 'tan"every day-instead of being in the winter, feeling and probably looking a stray?
Would I have red feet from walking every where barefoot, and even from the hot sand that usually tickles my toes as the water licks them?
Would my friends still be my friends, would they be cautioned as much as my friends here who claim "we're friend till the end!"
Would I still be saying "Eternal Father bless our land, Guard us with thy mighty hand" instead of "oh say can you see, by the dawns early light"?
Would it be bad???
I wanna go home
to a place I know
to live under the sun
and have some fun
to love with no worries
and not speak about always having to hurry
to lay down in my own bed, and not be a stranger to it.
I wanna go home... for that's the one place-my heart always roams.
