Moving On

Well, I guess I'm saying hello now. People are actually reading this. Still haven't gotten used to that feeling!  Toby also says hello, in his own cat way...but I assume you already guessed that.

So! As you probably know by now, I have a wedding coming up. I was going through a rather difficult time in my life and then Tom came around and helped to hoist me through it. I'm sure it's obvious from my previous entry, but I had been having lots of romantic and relationship sorts of troubles as well. It makes me absolutely estatic to say that I am able to move on past all of that.

I could go on and on about all the wonderful things that Tom has done for me, but then you would probably end up dead and I'd be looking over your body. Oh, that was a bit grotesque. Sorry about that. But it is true-my list could go on and on and on and on.

Tom, if you're reading this...well, I think I've already said it before. There are so many reasons why I care about you, and you can't ever forget about that!! I remember you said something the other day about me loving Toby more than you as a joke, but I want to make sure that you understand what I'm going for here.

Back on subject, the wedding planning has been going very well!! There's so much to be done, but I'm actually enjoying doing most of it. It was nice to go see a wedding before my own to help get me inspired. (By the way, congrats to John and Mary!! I hope your honeymoon is going well.) It was quite an experience, with a murder case popping up in the middle of nowhere during Sherlock's best man speech. Oh well, I still think it was a success.

I've been wedding dress shopping a lot lately. Tom keeps trying to pressure me into showing him what I'm going to wear, but I continue to remind him that it needs to be a surprise. I'm sure that it's a rule somewhere that the groom isn't supposed to see the bride in her dress and such until she's walking down the aisle. It's bad luck. I'm not one for superstition, but I like this one.

That one rhyme about weddings has been stuck in my head lately: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. I don't really have any of those yet, which is a bit frightening to me. I might have to get someone to help me with that. This is what I mean by weddings being so complex!! Every choice you make creates two more that need to be figured out.

Tom's been such a wonderful help for all of this, though!! He even helped me out when it came to figuring out the wedding colors and what the bridesmaids should be wearing. At least I have that much done. As for what that's going to be, you're just going to have to wait and see. Unless, of course, you're a bridesmaid.

Speaking of that, I really need to get cracking down on invitations and such. We've just got to confirm the date one hundred percent and then we can start printing those out and sending them all over. Well, if I'm going to need someone to help me with this I'm going to need people to aid me in all of these envelopes!! Sometimes I wish some of my older relatives knew how to use the Internet, but that's not the case. No, that would only be too easy.

I can't help but wonder what would happen if Toby were to get into this...oh dear. I've just created a nightamarish image in my head. That would be an absolute mess. I love my little kitty, but I know he can cause quite a lot of damage if he's given the opportunity. My wedding plans could be reduced to shreds. Now, that is not something I think I can deal with.

Well, never mind that. I'll just have to make sure that Toby stays as far away from Tom and I while we're working on the wedding as possible. Then as soon as we've put it all up, we can pick him back up again and cuddle!! I'm sure Toby won't be offended by all of it.

There's just so much love in the air!! So many people I know are getting married, which is sort of amazing. Good luck to all of you.

xx Molly
