piper cared about her music. she was invited to join a special school for talented and rich students. she was so proud of herself, but she then realized she would be on a completely different continent. she decided to go. she didn't know anyone, anything about the school, and she definitely knew nothing about the social food chain of copper cove academy.

piper will try to make friends. it's going to be hard because a group of boys have it out for her after they find out she mouthed off to one of their girlfriends. she finds a safe place with people she trusts.

her life gets easier when the girl she hated got expelled for drugs and extreme alcohol consumption. the "kings" lay off her and she gets a break.

she discovers things about the high-maintenance group of boys and things get complicated.

"honestly keegan... i couldn't care less about what he thinks." i start to walk away from him when he suddenly grabs my wrist.

"you don't walk away from me. that's not how this works."

i yank my wrist from his tight grip and glare at him. "i don't believe in your stupid hierarchy. Just leave me alone. i'm done with you and your friends' stupid mind games. just leave me alone."

"it's not a mind game piper. just listen to me. why do you have to be such a crazy hot bitch?" he shouts at me. i ignore what i assume was supposed to be a compliment and start to walk away. people are starting to crowd. "he just wants to see you piper."

"tell him to go fuck himself." people gasp and I just stomp out of the cafe.
