"Llenas de color mi vida,
alumbras mi despertar,
te quiero más cada día
y no te pienso olvidar."

"You fill with color my life.
You lighten up my wakening
I love you more every day
And I don't plan to forget you."
-AnonStephen leaned back on his seat, stretching his arms out as he let out a relaxed yawn. His break was almost over, but it surely felt the longest and most relaxing of all for some reason. His shift was almost over, and he was glad that he could go home after a long eighteen hour shift.
He would go home, have some dinner and maybe he would watch TV for the first time in a long time. Being a doctor surely had taken toll on his personal life, but he didn't mind. After all, he was one of the best neurosurgeons known worldwide.
He couldn't have a better life. He had a good job, he saved people day and went home with the reward of big cash and his luxury appartment. He felt as though he didn't need anything more in his life, though he appreciated a compliment and an award every now and then. Constant recognition wasn't really bad right?
The arrogant neurosurgeon with the biggest ego ever known was living his life fully, not knowing it would soon change drastically in a way that he wouldn't be able to go back to his former life. But perhaps karma was giving him some more time to enjoy himself before everything went to hell. Karma is never wrong when they choose people to be hit full force. But they are considerate, they only do what is best to change the person.
But maybe karma would hit him in the gut with a knockout punch sooner than he expected.
Stephen filled out his daily report, scribbling down his signature as he handed the clipboard to the lady at the front desk whom he never bothered to get her name in all his years as a doctor. Not that it mattered much anyways, why would he need to remember the name of someone he wouldn't be spending time soon?
He made his way down the hall, carrying his lab coat in hand as he headed to the exit so he could finally go home. He smiled widely, seeing the exit door coming closer and closer with each step he took.
That's it, he would finally be able to go home without being called for another unexpected patient that coincidently needed his help. He could leave the hospital supposedly at the hour his shift ended, and he hoped he would. But maybe he danced in victory too soon.
He realized this as closed his eyes disappointment at his name being called from behind him, followed by one of his coworkers almost crashing on him as he halted to a stop and regained his breath. "Doctor Doctor, we need your assistance. A patient just came in." He explained quickly, tapping hurriedly in his tablet so he could show him the recent reports that came in.
"Hell just tell me what's the case!" Stephen rolled his eyes at his coworker's nervousness, not intending to sound harsh. But how wouldn't he be? His perfect night to end the perfect day was about to be ruined by a patient. He understood really well that they needed to be saved, but couldn't they have an accident a bit earlier? When he was on his shift still?
He threw on his lab coat angrily as he made his way back to his post, getting ready to receive the patient that would ruin his night. "U-Uh yes doctor. Female of age 24. Car accident level ten. It has been reported she has eight broken bones, varying from ribs, arms and legs. The car was completely demolished. She has heavy traumatic penetration throughout her body. We need to act quick as she has-"
