It was confusing for you at first, you never thught you would fall in love for your mentor in sorcery. Stephen Strange was his name.

Neither did you know that he has knowledge of this and was planning on doing something that would only leave you as red as a tomato and extremely embarrassed for being found out in your feelings for him.

Stephen's ego sometimes was just too much to handle.

The first time you met him, he was a total gentleman with you, guiding you through the temple and letting you know he was there to help you in any case. You were of course really happy with his warm welcome since well... your situation wasn't the best.

Some time passed after your settlement. You had been training with Ancient one in perfectioning your sorcery. Stephen just watched from far away, observing your every move and sometimes even volunteering in training with you both. Ancient one seemed taken back by the sudden request, but nonetheless she complied to his request.

As time passed by, you found yourself blushing every time he was around you, and you really hoped with all your heart he never noticed. You were in love with him but the single thought of rejection would prevent you from making a move. You preferred to stay with those hopes in mind.

You were currently in one of your daily training sessions. Stephen was mentoring you in how to perfection your transmutations and magic bolts, always saying that graceful movement is key for them to work better.

He was leaning against a pillar, watching as you moved carefully, your arm retreating back to you in a bending motion as you bent your hand in the correct motion for the transmutation. You controlled your breathing, your eyes closed as you exhaled the air you had been holding in for several seconds. Your gaze travelled from the carvings on the wall to Stephen, only to see him gone from where he was leaning against the pillar.

You were a bit taken back, loosing your concentration for a moment, the half transmutation you were holding slowly disappearing as your eyes moved across the training ground, in search of him.

You froze in spot when to hands were set on your waist. You gulped softly, eyes wide as you recognized them to be Stephen's warm hands. Your breathing hitched as you felt them travell up your sides and to your arms, one of his hands moving slightly one of your tense arms in the correct position. Or so he tried since now you had lost all concentration, your transmutation gone and your body as tense as a pillar.

"Relax... you are too tense" He whispered deeply in your ear, the hair on your neck standing up as you felt chills run down your spine, making you shift a bit in position as you tried to wriggle out of his grasp.

"Now, make that transmutation. You almost have it" He spoke in the same tone, his hands retreating back to being set on your waist. You closed your eyes as you breathed in, begining your movement once again, the familiar bright orange transmutation circle forming in front of you.

Stephen smiled as he moved so he was standing in front of you, inspecting the transmutation circles you just made. You stood still, watching as he motioned for you to dissolve it, approaching you until he was standing in front of you. Dangerously close to you...

You looked up at his towering figure, a dark blush making his appearance on your face as you watched him look down at you with a smirk. "I have been observing you for a while now (Y/N)." He started, his voice calm and low as he cupped your blushing cheeks, his smirk only widening. "I have observed certain behavior of you when I am around"

When those words left his mouth, you froze, trying to wriggle out of his grasp, which made him let out a chuckle. "Relax (Y/N). I am not telling anyone... yet" He said, followed by another laugh as he saw your petrified expression.

No... He couldn't know... But what he just did... Maybe he did know and all of this was just a cruel tease. You looked away from him for a moment, considering your options in mind before you started speaking. "How much exactly do you know Stephen?" You asked hesitantly, not sure if you wanted to hear what he was saying.

He tilted his head, clearly not expecting a question from you. He thought for a moment, pulling his hands away from you as he took a step back. "Well.. from your behavior, I'd say you like someone but don't want to tell me" He suggested his thoughts, making you sigh in relief which definitely caught your attention.

You nodded in response as you turned around. "Alright, it's good to know" You said as you started to walk away at a quick pace, letting out a sigh of relief once the doors to the training grounds were closed.

You turned your head only to see Ancient One standing there, looking at you intently. "When are you planning to tell him the truth?" She asked as she followed behind you, heading with you to where you two would usually just have some tea and have a normal conversation. As far as you knew, Ancient One was the only one with knowledge of your crush on Stephen. But now you knew he was close to finding out.

You sighed, hanging your head low as you rubbed your temples. "I do not know Ancient One. I still haven't gained any courage to do it." You spoke in a sad tone, walking in your room and sitting down on your spot in the floor, followed by her as she started making tea for you both.

"I know Stephen may sometimes seem like a menacing person, but just trust yourself. I am sure things will sort themselves out soon" She spoke calmly, handing you a cup of tea. "I really do hope..." You answered as you took a sip, not caring it the drink was still hot.

Only if you knew that Stephen did really know about your crush on him... and so did Ancient One, though she preferred to not spill the soup yet.
