Sam's POV

Times flies when you're having fun, they say. Before I knew it, the night of the dinner at my old apartment came around. I was so nervous though because I couldn't help but wonder what would Harry think about me when he'll see where I used to live? Our apartment is so small and compared to his villa, it looks even smaller.

I wondered how my mother and brother were, of course I've been calling them from time to time but I know it will be a completely different thing once I see them face to face. Has Johnny grown? Did my mother change hair color? Did she buy new furniture with the money I sent her? I was about to find out.

Harry has been pretty distant from me since the date night. He was always on the phone with who I suspected was Niall since he would yell his name at least two times in a call and he would look very frustrated every time he would get off the phone, I didn't question him about it. He didn't talk to me that much, that until I felt his hands on my waist while I was cooking.

"Well, hello." I heard his voice coming from the side of my neck. I tried to turn around the pancake and when he moved his head away from me I managed to flip it. But his presence came back and this time it was on the other side of my neck.

"What have you got there?" he lowered his head so that he could leave wet kisses on my neck and jawline.

"P-pancakes, they were supposed to be a snack but I co-could make you some more if you'd like." How in the world does he know that the neck is my weak spot? You could kiss me anywhere and it wouldn't be the same effect that neck-kisses give me.

"Mhm, I'm in the mood for something sweeter." With one quick movement of his hands, he managed to turn me around. I could see him turning off the stove and then he placed me on the counter next to it. His hands moved from my hips to the sides of my face and he made me look up. His eyes were mesmerizing: the bright green of his eyes that I got used to, turned into a darker green, as if a powerful emotion was building up inside of him.
I have never seen a Harry like this, so demanding but conflicted.

His head and lips were lowering themselves towards me and before I could stop him, someone else did the work for me.

"What's going on here?"

Anne. Jesus Christ. How could I forget about her?

Harry immediately stepped away from me and I jumped off the counter, recomposing myself.

"Mother. There's nothing going on." Harry spoke for me, I was too embarrassed to say something.

"I actually think I know what's happening here. Since when are you two goofing around?" She crossed her arms on her chest and had an extremely disappointed look on her face.

"Ma'am, I swear there's nothing happening between your son and I. And I am deeply sorry for what you saw minutes ago, it won't happen again. I'm very sorry." I found the courage to say. Anne then started to shake her head.

"I accept your apology Samantha but I can't let this slip. I didn't hire you in order for my son to flirt with you. I hired you so you could take care of my house. The fact that I saw you two too close for my liking-."

"Mother, it was all my fault. Sam isn't responsible for my actions. Let this go, it won't happen again." Anne seemed lost in her thoughts.

"May I have a word with my son, Samantha? You are forgiven, as long as this won't happen again."

"Of course, thank you ma'am. Excuse me." And I walked as fast as I could upstairs.

Harrys POV

Holy shìt, I forgot my mother was in the house. Everything was going so perfectly before she interrupted us. I phoned Niall multiple times to tell him I was done with the bet that involved Sam and after many calls, he finally gave up. I was free from the bet and decided to make first steps with her.
