Chapter 7
Anne drew’s POV
“Justin called me yesterday! What happened?!” Terrence asked frantically at me as we met in the cafeteria.
“Well, hello to you too Terrence.” Pft. What a way of greeting, that bastard.
“Oh.” He said in realization. “I’m sorry. Hi!” revealing his playful side.
I laughed at him. “Why the shouting and practically screaming your head off?”
“I’m sorry” he apologized again. “I was just worried you know.” He tried to keep up with my strides because I was basically half running. I was really, really hungry. “Justin called me saying you were in the hospital. I can’t leave work at that time because the café was so packed.”
“It’s not like I was confined, dude.” I joked as I set my tray down on our table. “I just had a check- up with my doctor. S’all. No biggie.”
He seemed to doubt what I was saying but he brushed it off. “Anyway, how was the recording yesterday? Besides the breaking down stuff?”
It took me awhile before I answered. And recalling what happened yesterday made me change my mood. That curly haired bastard. I’m still not done with him. “It WAS fun. Till the bastard ruined my day.”
“Really? Who?” he asked as he bit on his burger.
“Harry. The bastard called me an attention seeker.” Well, that really wasn’t his word but it’s the same thing right?
“WHAT?” his eyes wide open.
“I know!” I agreed. “I mean, he even said I brainwashed Simon!”
“That jerk!” he said in fury. I was just thankful that Terrence is here, because I don’t have any girl friends to talk to when I’m this pissed off. On the other hand I wish he didn’t have reminded me of yesterday. Then suddenly Justin appeared at our table. “Oh hey bro.” Terrence composed himself as Justin sat beside me.
“Hey,” he said to Terrence and then turned to me. “Err… you have a follow up meeting with your doctor today…”
“What time?” I asked him.
“After class”
“You gonna come with me?” I asked him hopefully.
“That’s the thing…” he said in hesitation. “I can’t come with you. We have to stay here for the practice.” He looked at me apologetically and bowed his head.
“Oh.” Was all I could say. I was really hoping that he’d be there with me. Because honestly, the last time I was there – which is yesterday – I was really scared that I almost shit in my pants. No joke. And now, who’s coming with me? I slightly pouted.
“Hey, hey.” Justin held my chin up “Don’t be like that. You’re making me feel guilty. As much as I want to be there with you, I can’t. I have to be here.”
“I’ll go with her.” Terrence – forgetting he was there – interjected.
“There you go.” Justin smiled at me. “Let’s make Terrence babysit you for a while, okay?” I just nodded at him. “Be good, alright? I have to go now.” He kissed my forehead then stood up leaving the cafeteria with his group. At least Justin had some friends.
“If I hadn’t known you, I would’ve assumed you were his girlfriend.” Terrence said in awestruck.
“Shut up.” I halfheartedly laughed at him.
