chapter 3

I got into the sitting room where I found my father playing with the remote changing the channels.

"Hey dad what you doing?"I asked putting down my plate of food.

"Nothing my love am just looking for a better channel to watch",he replied his eyes stuck to the tv.

"Ummm dad u didn't pay for the dish yet remember",I replied rolling my eyes.

"Oh that honey didn't we pay for the dish yet?",he asked

"No I was planning on going today."

A short while later we were joined by my mother and brother who was always behind her.

I watched them as they took there sits opposite mine,and my brother on the other hand kept on staring at me.

"Mother I called didn't you teach your son here that staring at people while they eat is rude?"I asked looking as innocent as possible

My dad chucked at that.

She gave him a look of the I will kill you after this,which shuted him up for a few minutes.

"Okay no more jokes lets get down to business", he said break the silence.

Business?I asked

"Ummm,YA business the reason I am here."

"Okay we are listening",I replied.

"We? Declan said,what "we" there is no "we",there is only you but I am here because I want to be here"

WhAt's wrong with him today,he is not himself at all today",mom said

"Okay I am listening"
Nicole ,my mother started
Am your mother I love you very much,but there is something that I have to tell you it is very important for us we have been keeping it away from you in a long time,you see there is a prophecy that goes like this"one girl will be the one to turn my world with my people upside down ,she will be the diamond to all men and in this way a war will break up because of her and she too has a choose who ever  she picks will be the one for her and too many blood will be spilled because of her"

"Okay one thing at a time please
What prophecy? I asked starting to get worried.

You are not our daughter,my mother said getting closer to me.

Nice try mother but it won't work this time,I replied laughing in between.

I heard that a lot of time from Declan,when ever he was Angry he would say that they picked me up and that's,that I don't have family. It hurted me back then but now I don't even care anymore

Can you repeat that again? Please I said looking down on my plate still.

You are not our child, dad said in a sad and disappointed tone we picked you up,at the border,my Dad finished.

No you are lying I know you are lying U didn't pick me up I am your child you are mistaken, mom tell dad that he is lying I looked at my mother who had tears in her eyes.

No sweet heart he is not lying,she finished wiping the tears of her eyes.
I looked at the food on my plate I was full, I wasn't even half way through but I was full already.

What do you mean am not your child mom what are talking about? ...and what boarder you talking about?
Well honey you see mom began,it was 16 years ago when your dad and were coming from work we u hmm...

Its okay honey I will tell her my dad said who had moved now and was sitting my mom and was holding her hand.
Well he continued we heard a baby crying which was you at that time,we found you in a basket and a letter was with I you looked so sad and we didn't know what to do and since we also wanted a kid there we couldn't leave you alone so we agreed that we would take you in and looked after you as our own ..and that's why you ended up here.
We are very sorry honey we didn't mean to lie to you we just didn't want to tell you before the time was right.

going home  I out and with that I got up and ran out the door with tears striming down my face. I just wanted to be away it felt like I was in a dream A dream that was so real I just wish someone could wake me up.

Nicole where are u going, that's the last thing I heard from my father before I disappearing into the woods.
