RECAP: ' I am Charles and this is Erick we are here to help you.'
I look up at them with wide eyes wondering where that voice came from. " It was me, I am Charles, Erick will get you out of this cage." The British man says backing away and gesturing to the other darker haired man.
Erick gives me a hint of a smile and raises his hand. I back further into the cage afraid that he means to hurt me. Suddenly the hinges of the cage are ripped off and the door goes flying.
Charles bends down at the opening of the door and puts out his hand asking for me to take it. I slide forward and hesitantly put my hand in his. "We are on a mission to make the man who captured you see reason, he is trying to kill all the humans. We need your help to stop him. Would you like to help?" Charles ask in a quiet but hurried voice.
"I'll help as long as he goes behind bars." I say looking into his eyes
He smiles and gathers me into his arms. The two men start to run toward an opening in the wall. We get into a car and Erick starts to drive it quickly out the gates of the facility. I wonder if this really means freedom.
-Time skip-
I am shaken awake by Charles, i must have fallen asleep at some point. He points to a strange looking military base, "This is where we are staying right now, when we get inside I will introduce you to the others."
I look up at him wide eyed concerned about meeting new people. "Don't worry, they will like you and they won't mind your horns and tail or even your wings. my sister had a physical mutation and she will be more than excepting." He says after he reads my thoughts.
I smile and look out the window as we pull up to the base. Charles opens the door and lets us out of the car. We walk into the base and go down a series of hallways, soon we end up in a room full of 6 teenagers. All of their heads snap in our direction and their eyes widen when they land on me.
I look down ashamed of how I look, of course he would lie to me. They will never like me. A blonde girl jumps up from her chair and bounces over to me. I back up into a warm wall. When I look behind me I see that it is Erick.
The girl looks sad that I backed away but she still moves forward to stand next to Charles. " Who is this? Is he a new member of the team?" she asks Charles looking over me. "Yes he is, this is the mutant we were on the hunt for this week. His name is Finis Emerson and he will be helping us out with this mission." Charles says looking at the other teens in the room.
The blonde girl takes my hand and pulls me over to the group, she introduces me to them. The blonde boy is Alex, the red head is Sean, the hispanic looking girl is Angel, the dark skinned man is Darwin, and the cutest one of the group is Hank.
I look up at Hank and I start to blush, looking down I raise my hand and wave at them. "My name is Finis, you can call me Fin." I say looking back up at the group.
