"I don't want to hear it,"

I yelled,

"They're infected! Carriers! Can't you see? Open your damn eyes, Jason! This isn't a game, this is real life. Step 10 feet within that carriers reach and in the blink of an eye you'll be one of them! Why can't you understand that!?"

"Clay, you need to relax-"

"Relax!? Oh for god sake, I'll show you relax!"

I exclaimed, grabbing my mask slapping it onto my face.

"You're a bloody idiot!" I yelled one more time before picking up a hammer.

I reached the car door and almost ripped it off it's hinges to see a small girl, blonde hair, with a mask over her mouth that was beginning to turn an odd dark red. She was buckled in her seat with her seat belt, and looked up at me.

Her eyes were beginning to lose colour, the life was pouring out of her.

"Clay leave her, let's just go!" Jason almost screamed.

Ignoring his commands I grabbed the hammer tighter and lifted it above my head.

"You can thank me when you don't come back" I spat and crushed the hammer through her head.

Again.

And again.

And again.

Before turning around to see Jason wide-eyed. Completely shocked.

"Why?!" He screamed almost ripping his blonde scruffy hair out.

"Jason, she was a damn carrier!"

"You're a monster! She's a kid!"

"No, she was a carrier"

I dropped the blood smothered hammer and brushed my hands off.

I jumped into the ute, and looked at Jason.

"Get in"

"No"

"Really? You're overreacting" I sighed, rolling my eyes.

"No, you killed an innocent child. You're messed up! I'm not going anywhere near you!" He was pacing back and forth now.

"You know what, if you don't get in, in 5 seconds I'm leaving you here"

"1.."

"2.."

"3.."

"Just leave cause I'm not coming"

I took my hand off the steering wheel and looked at him.

Idiot. I thought.

"You know what," I chuckled,

"You're a complete idiot. You have no idea what's going on, ever. We are surrounded by flesh eating demons and every single time I kill one, you overreact.."

"You're a murderer" He spat.

"Maybe I am, a murderer who only kills carriers. Jesus Christ Jason, why the fuck are you so damn stupid?!"

I got out of the ute and walked closer to him.

"You, are stupid." I pointed towards him,

"This whole world is filled with carriers and you have no idea whatsoever!"

"They can be fixed, Clay! Just stop killing them all!"

"Fixed?! It's been 3 years dammit! Does it look like anyone has fixed anything? No! Dumbass.."

I lifted my arms in the air and slowly spun around,

"This world is screwed! But you're too damn stupid to open your eyes!"

He looked at me blankly, not taking in a word I said.

"Okay, Jason, idiotic, stupid ass Jason. Listen. If you want to get up close and cuddly with the carriers, do it. I'm not saving your sorry ass. I've saved you twice this week - in one week! But, oh my, poor little Jason still has no idea what's happening!"

"Piss off, I can survive without you. I'll fix them all! They're still alive, still human!"

I laughed and mocked him,

"You know what, dude, survive then. Without me. Fix them all. Good luck, and don't come looking for me when you find out what really roams this world."

"I won't come looking for you! Ever! I'd rather be dead than be around you" Jason yelled,

"Awesome, you're heading in the right direction" I smirked and got back in the ute.

"Everyone left you because you're a complete asshole." He mumbled sitting on the road.

"Oh I know, and everyone left you cause your stupid. See ya, mate!"

And with that, I sped off. Smiling to myself.

"No more idiot, less danger. Thank god." I told myself.
