My One And Only Eve PROLOGUE

Once upon a time, 

        There was a bird, who use to be free... 

        Stuck in a cage where Heaven cannot let her see... 

        Beautiful white like snow turns into black like ash.

WIth these hands, 

         The bird cannot escape from her cage. 

         The bird cannot fly towards the blue sky.

          The bird is now trapped for all eternity. 

"You are "Eve"! My only "Eve"! If I cannot become your "Adam", then--- I'll force you to become mine!"

"I-I love you... I love you, Faith!"

          I huffed and puffed and ran fast as I could. I have to run away. I have to run away from here. But... where can I go? Where should I go? My brain was rattling with thoughts as I accidently tripped and scraped my knees. The fresh wounds were red and little bits of blood began to lightly come out. "Faith? Faith, where are you?" 

          My body flinched as I recognized the voice immediately. I then hear footsteps coming towards my way. "I must hurry," I murmured to myself and started running again. "Faith, please... I will never hurt you. Please, believe in me." He said in a sorrowful tone as if he was going to cry. My heart starts throbbing in guilt by hearing his voice and agony started hurting my scraped knees; however, I pushed myself forward to keep running. I ran from hall to hall and tried opening each doors. Unfortunately, they were all locked. I heard footsteps again and gasped myself in terror. "He's coming," I whispered and started running again. I ran and ran farther and farther away from him as much as I can. My eyes then laid on an open door as I hurried and enter the room and closed the door. 

          "How long have I been here? How long have I run? How long will I last?" I asked myself over and over as I locked the door then slowly backed away. Suddenly, tears began to fall from my eyes as my back gently touches the wall. In response, I slide down in disbelief. 

           "What happened?" I asked myself as my head tilts up to the dark, blank ceiling. "Why must things end up like this?" I just kept looking up at the ceiling as an image of him flashed in my mind, remembering him cheerfully smiling at me. Before I knew it, tears overflow my eyes more as my vision slowly begins to blur. "So... tired..." I murmured to myself. I urged to keep my eyes open, but soon they closed on their own accord. As I heavily fell asleep, my consciousness dragged me into the darkness as I recalled those happy days with him. "Luke..."

"To be honest, I'm afraid of myself. Because... someday, the real monster... would be me."

"I'm not great with words, however, you are you. And that's... what I like about you."

"I... I-I like you, Faith..."

"Yeah... So do I. I... I-I like you."

"I like you too, Luke."
