Ciel's Promise

Ciel's return.

'This is it... the day I join Ciel in death.' Lizzy thought as she gripped the silver knife in her hand tightly. Its blade reflecting the moonlight through the window. She had locked the door so she wouldn't be disturbed her door window was closed but not lock. Her dull emerald eyes look at the blade in her hand. She looked up at the window.

"I'll see you soon...Ciel." Lizzy whispered to no one before lifting up the blade to her throat, prepared to slice it open. She closed her eyes while lowering the blade.

The window opened but she kept her eyes shut and the knife still in hand.

"Elizabeth." A familiar voice called out from the window, making her open her eyes, drop the knife, and look at the window to see...

...Ciel Phantomhive.

'Ciel...!' Lizzy thought as she looked at him with wide eyes.

He stood by the window and looking at her with his sapphire blue eyes and his bluish grey hair. Just like when he was younger. He didn't have his eye patch anymore and they just stared at each other. Lizzy wanted to do so much, to hug him, slap him for leaving her and pretending to be dead, cry at the fact he left her alone. But she did none of those. She just fell into his arms and cried.

Ciel pulled her more against him as his arms circled around her waist to hug her. He knew he shouldn't have shown his face but she was about to kill herself. He had to do something. He watched her for over a year since his fake death, protecting her in the shadows. Keeping other demons away from her delicious soul. A soul that belonged to his fiancee. A soul filled with sorrow, innocence, and happiness.

Ciel Phantomhive returned when she needed it, and he made a silent vow to never leave her go again.
