Prologue
Pain. Fear. Loss. Sadness. Rejection. All those things she felt that night. Amelia stared up into the eyes of Bellatrix Lestrange, her wand mere inches from her fingertips. Her high-pitched scream echoed throughout the halls of Malfoy Manor. She thought it was all over.
Helpless. Defensless. Lonely. Angry. Draco just wanted to disappear. The girl he'd loved for six years was being tortured, in his house, before his very eyes, by his own Aunt. Every time she screamed a tear choked its way out of his body and slid down his cheek. He thought she was going to die.
