Amanda's POV:

"Steve!" Amanda called, shoving her wooden sword into a creeper's abdomen. "I can't fight much longer!"

"I got you!" Steve yelled back, trying frantically to craft iron swords. Amanda was currently defending him from the monsters.

Amanda yanked her sword out of the creeper's gut and whirled around. She found herself face-to-face with a zombie, but killed it as quickly as it showed in her vision. She heard a hiss behind her, but it wasn't a creeper hiss. It was a spider hiss. Amanda turned and found a cave spider, trying to poison her. She sliced off it's head, then looked at the army around her.

"Who wants a piece of me?" She triumphed, cutting through multiple beasts at once. Her wooden sword was now dyed red with the blood of her enemies. She ignored the many scratches on her weapon and used what was left of it to fight off the other creatures.

The red sword broke in half at random, leaving Amanda weaponless. She had a bow, but no arrows. Panicked, she used her fists to punch at a skeleton, dodging every now and then. Eventually, she rammed her fist through it's skull, breaking apart it's bones like two negative magnets retracting from each other.

"Done!" Steve exclaimed, tossing Amanda a polished and new iron sword. Grinning, she used it to defeat the last of the monsters, Steve trying to be of some use in the background.

When all the monsters were killed, Amanda turned to Steve. "I think it's time we head home, we've been in this cave for who knows how long?"

"Agreed," Steve nodded. "We have many minerals, and some rare gems, too. We need to keep them safe."

Amanda turned and looked at her tiny chest. "But we have so many materials, how are we supposed to get them to ground level?"

Steve rolled his eyes. "Um, shulker boxes?"

"That would be helpful, IF WE HAD ANY." Amanda growled, losing her temper. Steve put his hands up in surrender.

"Alright, geez, you don't have to get mad. Here," he looked in Amanda's chest. "Let's sort through what we need and what we don't."

"Okay," Amanda sighed. She sat down beside Steve as they sorted through their things.

Amanda shoved some raw steak into the furnace, pulling out some spices from the cupboards. She believed she wasn't much of a cook, all she could do was add flavor to food. However, Steve had the excuse of 'unpacking', so she had to be the one to make dinner. She felt her belly rumble, then started whispering to it.

"Don't worry, we'll eat after the steak finishes cooking."

"Wow, didn't think you were that weird," a deep voice remarked from behind. Amanda jumped, looking behind her. Steve was standing there, smirking.

Amanda coughed, feeling her face flush. "Well, you can't control your hunger."

"Um, yeah, you can. By eating." Steve said bluntly. Amanda facepalmed as Steve burst out laughing.

"Why do I put up with you?" She groaned.

"Because you love me," Steve teased.

Amanda gave him a death stare and his smile dissipated. "Don't ever say that again or I'll have your head."

Then, completely ignoring Steve, Amanda opened the furnace, adding some seasoning to the meal. She turned to Steve, tossing the meat at him, and he caught it. Steve searched through his inventory, then found his dinner. He put it in his main hand and started to devour it.
