Amanda's POV:

Amanda kicked and screamed, but no matter how hard she fought, the blaze held her fast. They dragged her toward a nether fortress, but not just any nether fortress.

Herobrine's nether fortress.

Come to think of it, it looked more like a nether castle than a fortress. Amanda rolled her eyes. Stupid killer snob.

The blaze pulled her up the stairs, showing her to the wither skeleton guards.

"Master requested her, and we have her."

One of the guards nodded, then opened the door. Amanda grit her teeth and struggled even more. The blaze contained her with ease, bringing her inside the throne room. Finally, they let her go, watching as she fell to the ground with a thump.

Angrily, Amanda tried to get up, but fell down with surprise at the sudden sound of laughter.

Amanda looked up to find herself staring into blazing white eyes. She blinked, then looked down again, trying to push herself up once more. Again, something pushed her down.

"Kneel in front of Master!" One of the blaze hissed in her ear. Amanda sighed and tried to get up one last time, but was only forced back down. She gave up, but vowed that she wouldn't be cooperative any more than she already was being.

"So. You were actually stupid enough to come." A voice boomed. Amanda looked up again to see those white eyes... this time right above her.

Amanda chuckled harshly. "Well what would you do if someone took your soul, put it somewhere else, and told you to do something?"

"Ignore it," that all-too familiar voice responded. "I thought even you would be smarter than that, but again, most Minecrafters are dumb as a rock."

Amanda growled fiercely. "Funny, we could say the same thing about you."

Herobrine's eyes flashed. "What did you say about me, girl?"

Amanda sneered. "Oh, nothing, just that you're stupid."

Herobrine's jaw dropped. Nobody, nobody had the guts to tell him that to his face. Fuming, he leaned closer to Amanda, disappointed at her stony expression.

"Dot you know what I do to people who disrespect me?" He whispered, more of a growl than anything else.

"No," Amanda admitted. "Though I have some idea."

Herobrine smirked. "Oh? And what would that be, Amanda?"

Amanda looked Herobrine straight in the eyes. "You torture them, kill them, hurt the people they're closest to. Am I correct?"

Herobrine nodded. "Indeed, you are. Of course, it's much more amusing to worsen the punishments as they go, so the victim gradually gets weaker."

Amanda snickered. "I can understand why that would humor you. Killing is one of your favorite hobbies."

"I'm not denying it," Herobrine agreed.

There was a long silence.

"So, nice meeting you, but I think I'll just go." Amanda smiled sweetly, forcing herself to her feet. Herobrine growled, and pinned her to a wall.

"You're not going anywhere," Herobrine smiled, slowly bringing his face to her neck. Fangs grew out of his canine teeth as he prepared to strike.

Amanda tensed under him. Herobrine felt a wave of pleasure, since he knew she was scared.

Or so he thought.

Amanda suddenly kicked, sending him flying back. She dropped onto her feet, hands balled into fists. She was a little scared, but refused to show it.

Herobrine quickly recovered, staring at Amanda intently. "Hm," he pondered, looking her up and down. "You'd be a fitting addition to my army."

"Over my dead body!" Amanda growled.

"Oh, dearie, that's how I recruit most of my minions. Recreation as a mob," Herobrine gloated smugly. "And - I'm sorry to say, but I need to rid you of your current life to do that."

Amanda examined him. "You're not sorry at all, are you?" She breathed.

Herobrine laughed. "Of course not! I'm a killer God, for Notch's sake!"

Amanda chewed the inside of her cheek. "Well, if it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get."

Herobrine was beaming now. "Oh, it will just be of more amusement to me to watch you fail. I suggest yielding to avoid making a fool of yourself."

Amanda grit her teeth. "Never!"

"Suit yourself," Herobrine shrugged, and they charged.

Steve's POV:

Steve gripped the handle of his sword tighter. He didn't know where Amanda went, but he knew it couldn't be good.

He ventured out into the fields, calling Amanda's name. She never replied.

By now Steve was getting antsy. He cared for Amanda like a sister, as a member of his own family, maybe even more than that. He swerved and slashed through an advancing zombie, then continued looking around.

"Amanda, where are you!? Answer me, please!" Steve's voice cracked as he started to lose hope. He hoped he would hear an angry yell or mischievous laughter, but he heard nothing except monsters.

"Am... an.... da...." Steve sighed, dropping to his knees. He laid down his sword on the grass and buried his face in his hands. He heard the sounds of the zombies closing in, but right now he didn't care. He was a failure, he couldn't live without Amanda. She was his energy source, the very stubborn woman that kept him going.

Closing his eyes sharply, Steve waited for the pain of flesh being ripped from his body, but instead he felt nothing. Confused, Steve looked up, only to regret it immediately. Rough green hands grabbed him in all areas, even the sensitive ones. Steve yelped, frustrated, but he could do nothing now. He was in control of the enemy.

Steve expected the zombies to start feeding, but instead saw the ground whirling under him. The moving feet of the rotted beings moved under him, as he was being carried. Regretting his decision, Steve tried struggling, but the zombies held him fast. Laying limp in his captors' arms, he wondered what his life had come to.

Eventually, Steve felt himself being put down. Steve looked around and found himself in front of a nether portal, glowing with the familiar purple. For some reason, it was shinier than he expected, he had never been in presence of one before.

"A nether portal...?" Steve asked himself, standing up. He looked around for the zombies, but they seemed to have disappeared. Shaking, Steve gazed at the portal, still without his sword. He panicked, then grabbed one of the spare stone swords from his inventory. He held the tip in front of himself defensively, even though it wasn't the best fighting stance, then he stepped into the opening.

Steve's vision got all hazy as he felt himself being transported, to a land of Hell. His grip tightened around his weapon and he started to feel dizzy, in addition nauseous, too.

When the teleportation process was complete, Steve stepped out of the portal, head spinning. Immediately, he doubled over, parting his lips to let loose a stream of chunks. When he was finished vomiting, he stood up once more, using his arm to wipe away the bits of food from his lips. Cautiously stepping over the goo, he found himself in front of a nether portal, though it looked more like a castle. Steve grunted and made his way inside the building.
