When I started drawing, I really, really really sucked at it. I almost gave up actually! However, coincidentally I was up at my cousins place, and he introduced the wonderful world of anime to me! It was the perfect art style for me! Not too cartoony or realistic, with a lovable look and cute style to it. It became my obsession, and stopped me from quitting art! But it took a while for me to get better at art, so I started referencing photos from the manga I read and the anime that I watched, and practiced and kept on working, and I got better and better.
There is nothing to be ashamed of for using someone's art and drawing it in order to further understand how to do or use that style to develop your own special techniques. I was not able to draw without reference photos for almost 6 years, but after that I came to develop my own style and study anatomy, which is vital, no matter the style of art you do.

In this chapter, I'll show you guys the type of photos I use to reference for my drawings, so that maybe it can help you!
