The Dark Vigilantes

Chapter 1

(Third Pov )
10 years ago in New York City; two little girls were playing at a park near by their apartment building.

"I bet I can beat you to the other side of the park before you can.",the lighter brown headed girl said.

"Maybe but I'll try my best.",said the other girl.

Just then the darker haired girls mom called for her.

"Kali time to come home.",said Kali's mom.

"Awe can you just let us do the race please?",Kali said "Then I'll go home."

Kalis mom gave her a stern look.

"Kali NOW!!",Her mom said.

"Ok....",Kali said sadly and a little scared "Bye .....Aspen."

Aspen waved goodbye to her friend and sadly walked home. As she arrived she walked into her house and heard her parents fighting again. She ran to her room like and just sat crying listening to the fighting until suddenly her mom burst in the door.

"Honey get in the closet and stay down and don't make a sound.",Her mom said.

Aspen did as her mom told her to. Threw the cracks in her closet door she saw a few people toss her parents in the room. On their jackets they had a big v on it ,and in slow motion they pulled a gun to her parents heads.

Present day

Aspen walked to school like she normally did ,and ignored the world like she always did.

Kali was in her class already. It was astrology ,and it was her favorite.

Then a over hyper guy jumps infront of Aspen.

"Hi I'm Tim Kane.",He said over energetic voice.

"I will end you!",Aspen said shoulder checking him as she passed him.

Tim shrugged and moved on to the next person he saw. He saw Kali sitting at her seat and walked over to her.

"Hi.",He said again over energetic.

"Oh..um.. hi how are you?",Kali said.

"Oh my gosh! You actually care! We are going to be new best friends although I've never had one before...",He said.

Just then the schools alarm sounds

"Attention this is not a drill please stay put.",The speakers repeated.

They did. The class across the hall had kids being pulled by men in black.

"There not in E124.",said the man to his radio,"Split up so we can cover more ground all targets must be acquired safely and unharmed."

"Copy that.",the voices on the radio said.

All the classes were quite. They were not sure what to do this drill was one they never heard of;everyone was quite and still.

A little before

Kali and Tim were together in astronomy. They were working in the model of the solar system made out of paper mache, but was halted due to the sudden shock of the drill.

Then two men maybe more burst into the astronomy room. They look like FBI mixed with military. They both head for Tim; Tim was out like a light before he could run.

No! Kali thought there's no reason to do that Tim was nice! One started to drag Tim out but Kali threw Neptune at him. Covered in paper mache he stood up. Kali ran out of the room. Sorry Tim I tried she thought.

They took the unconscious Tim; pulled him into a van ,and sent him away. There mission was still not finished. They went back into the school to acquire their targets.

Kali was hiding in the library. She tried to get into other classes but all doors were locked. She hid behind a bookshelf trying to be as quite as she could ,but the entrance door to the library opened.

"Kali we know you in here we can see you on the cameras. Just come with us.",said one of the men.

In an act of defiance she threw a book a him even though it was a petty throw, but she quickly went back to her hiding spot.

"This is not a game!",He said angrily,"I will use force if you don't stop."

Kali evaluated her odds. This was not going to go in her favor. Kali plays to win and knows not to fight a losing battle. She put her hands and surrendered.

"Thank you.",He said.

He cuffed her and led her to a black van that took her away.

Next target was Aspen.

A little before

Aspen sat in her art class ,and was doing a drawing when she heard the alarm go off.

Next a bunch of guys busted threw the door taking a kid who looked like he was caught up in his own world to even notice the men in black busting threw the door.

Next the guys went for her. She wondered why she was being taken? She wasn't a bad kid; just didn't like a lot of other people ,so why would they want to take her.

Aspen just put up her hands and said,"You got me."

She walked away without a fight ,and more targets were acquired and the mission was completed.

"All targets acquired. Everyone  pack up and head to headquarters.",A guy said on the radio.

"Copy that.",they responded.

After that the kids were taken to a "Facility". They were sent to their holding quarters until further notice.

Further notice

The teens  all gathered in a little commons area,and a laugh was herd from a corner.

"You all got stuck here too?",a guy named Cody who went to their school said.

No one responded

"Really we're gonna be like that. Well could someone at least tell me why we're here? Huh? Why is miss sunshine ,and her energetic side kick here?",He said as he pointed to Kali and Tim.

"Or Mister all round Quarter Back huh? What got you put in the slammer? Did to much at party? Coach sent yah here?",he said.

Dallas the schools Quarterback just sat silently.

"Or what about Mr and Mrs Debbie downers? Huh? Did you guys smile and get sent to this place for actually be normal for once?",He said.

"Well news flash guys were stuck  so you all can go to he-"

"That's enough Cody! They had enough of your stereotyping ,and you not shutting up boy! Please for the sake of man kind shut your trapper!!",said a man that walked in.
