The constant screaming and yelling hurts my tiny little ears. I’m only 7. It’s hard living a world when all you hear is complain, complain, complain 24/7. I hear her all the time talking about me with all of her friends telling them how annoying I am and how I always get my way. It’s all a lie. Don’t believe her. It’s Heather! She lies all the time and I am just little old Maggie.
I walk to school every day with no sleep. Heather and I share a room and she is always up talking on the phone until I don’t know when. Heather walks next to me talking on the phone and with her friends at the same time. I wear my pink dress the one with the frills at the end with my hair up in two uneven piggy tails. She stops me and turns.
“Loser, you’ll embarrass me now take those out.” she screams. I took them out like a good little sister but I don’t think I should have. I ball up my fists and scrunch my arms and walked inside the school. Before I went off to class she waited for me. She took her sparkly pink brush out of her bag and started to brush my tangled hair. It hurt a little but I don’t think she intended it to. She grabbed my wrist and took a pony tail holder off of it. Its was pink and sparkly just like her brush. She finally finished and made me turn around and smile. She gave me a thumbs up and I ran to my classroom. Heather isn’t that bad but this is on a good day. You should see her on a bad one.
In class, we had to write a story about someone in our family for our class Learning Wall. We put all of our stories and writing pieces on that board to show our parents how much we love them. I decided to write about Heather. There was a lot I could say about her like how she does my hair, makes me breakfast, and helps me do my homework. No, because then I would be lying. I don’t lie no matter what the circumstances are. I started off with,
“’Heather Marie Daniels is my big sister. She is in the 8th grade at the big people school. She likes to be “the boss” of me and to text on her cell phone that she named Hannah.”
And yeah. That’s it right now but I have more in my mind, I know I do. I just need to get inspired. I need to…..FOLLOW HER!!!!! I got it. I just need to be more “annoying” than I am now.
I watched Heather all the way home. All she was doing was texting so its not like she was going to notice me. Her long red hair fell in front of her sparkling blue left eye. The zebra bow in her hair sparkled in the glimmering sun as she walked, wearing her holy skinny jeans, her neon high tops, and her neon green tank top. Her black painted nails moved faster than lightning as she texted her BF Jeremiah. I rolled my eyes and decided to give up. I was being so silent that she finally looked over at me to see if I was still there. I smiled at her and she quickly looked away and began to text some more. It's the only thing she ever does.
