Chapter three
Your POV
You followed callie deep into the woods. You watched the trees, but not a single bird was there. It didn't strike you as odd, maybe they weren't there because callie and her loud rambling was scaring them off? You chuckled at the thought, but a loud, sudden snap behind you grabbed your attention. You turned around quickly, curiously trailing your eyes along the path you came to see if you could find the source. Feeling the paranoia fade away, you turned around to see a glimpse of white among the trees. You stared in that direction to see what looked like a paper on a tree not to far from you, you looked to callie who was intelligently poking a rock with a stick, and looked back to the paper, back to callie, and went to the page that was fluttering in the nonexistent wind. When up close to it, you saw it had something on it, but was too high to read, so you grabbed it, pulling it off the tree. Upon examination, you saw the paper had a picture of a circle with an ‘X’ through it, and the words, “always watches, no eyes” you felt a chill go down your back and turned around, running back to callie. These woods didn't feel safe anymore. If only you knew…
