The room was dark and I was still lying next to the boy who was still knocked out. I sit up frowning at the darkness. Someone else was here because the lights were on and the balcony doors were open when we went out. I flinch when an arm flies over me. I look down at the sleeping person and sigh with relief. I slowly lift his arm and slide off the bed.

My body ached from all the fighting. I creep through the room and open the door which was locked. I peek out into the empty all that shined brightly. No one was in sight, but I step back into the room. I quietly race to the balcony doors and sneak out that way. I don't want to risk getting lost than caught. I spot the forest of trees and the roof of the building I trapped Santiago to.

I climb down the vines and land on the grassy ground. I check my surrounding before tiptoeing into the forestry area. Once I make it to the back building, I wander around the area.

"Dylan," I call him, trying to keep a whisper. "Dylan, are you here?"

Out of nowhere, something falls from the trees and I squeal.

"Quiet!" Dylan shushes me. "They're still out here searching for me."

"I-I'm so confused." I tell him. "I knocked out after Harry choked me, but I knocked him out before I did." I explain why I took so long. "Then I wake up in the dark with the balcony doors closed. Harry was still knocked out next to me when I woke up."

"Oh that was me," Dylan laughs out softly.

"What?" I say through gritted teeth.

"Yeah, I thought you could use the nap." he says with a smile. "I didn't know he choked you, I honestly thought something happened between you two and you fell asl-"

"Wh- you thought we– no, that man makes me sick." I tell him, getting aggravated. "Dylan, we could've been out of this place already."

"I'm sorry, it's just you looked so comfortable." he tells me. "I locked the door, so no one bothered you."

I sigh, patting his shoulder. "Thank you, but this whole time we could've been out on the road and escaped." I remind him and he looks down like he was disappointed. "Look, I'm not angry, we just need to figure out how to get out of here without getting caught."

He just nods which makes me feel bad, but I let that go. I lead him through the acres of land and we finally reach the gate.

"It's locked," he says, shaking the gate.

"We should've expected that." I tell him, looking at the height of the fence. "Do you think we can climb this?"

"I don't know, it's really high."

"Where's the garage?" I ask and points to the side of the house. "Stay here and stay hidden."

I race along the fence, hiding behind any trees on the land. I peek out from behind a tree and spot two men talking near the garage. Their guns weren't in hand, but I know they have them. I let out a small whistle and step on a stick. They become alert and immediately pull out their guns. I quickly hide my head and hear one of them walking toward me. I pick up a big branch and wait for him to come closer.

"Who's out th-"

I jump out from behind the tree and lunge the branch into his torso. The man shoots past me as I push him back. The other one just started shooting and shot his partner in the back. I reveal myself from behind the man and hit the other in the head with the branch. He falls to the ground and I drop the heavy branch.

"Help!" the man that got shot yells. "She's here! Help!"

The man lifts his arm and shoots his gun one last time. The bullet grazes my thigh, but the adrenaline helps me ignore the stinging pain. I kneel down to him and snatch his gun. I was tired of being here and it was time I did something. I put the gun to his stomach and pull the trigger twice. The veins pop out in his head and he becomes silent.
