The streets were clear of cars. I was still catching my breath from running as far away as I could. The gun sat in the back of my jeans, so I wouldn't look suspicious. I kept my head down to keep a low profile. A car passes by then the sound of its tires screech. My eyes shoot up to see the car backing up. Two men sat there with a smug look plastered on their faces. One of them whistles then waves for me to come over, but I stay in the same spot.
"Hello honey," the man in the passenger seat speaks. "Need a ride?"
"No." I simply say, continuing my path.
They follow me slowly in the car. He reaches out and smacks the back of my thigh. "C'mon, we were just heading back to my place. You can come join us."
I turn to him, swatting his hand away. "Fuck off."
The man gasps angrily, unbuckling his seat belt. He swings open the door, almost hitting me. A strong smell of alcohol flows from the car. The man slams the door shut, stepping closer to me as I back away. The other stood on the other side of the car, amused at this.
"A little girl like you shouldn't have a potty mouth." he spits. "Now get in the car before we force you."
I reach behind me, gripping the gun. I quickly pull it out, pointing it right in between his eyes.
"I'd like to see you try." I raise my eyebrows, smiling at him triumphantly.
"Woah, that's a big gun for such a little g-"
I interrupt him by quickly pointing down at his leg, pressing the trigger. He screams loudly in pain and I aim at his head again.
"You were saying?"
The other man shifts to get into the car, but I shout to stop him. I order him to slowly come forth. Both men keep their hands up and I watch the other one in pain.
"Baby, we were just having a little fun." The other one laughs, glancing at the one I shot. "There's no need to get violent."
"And forcing me into a car wouldn't have been violent?" I snap and he tries defending himself, but I don't let him. "Shut up, the two of you are going to stand against that wall and not move." I demand, watching them move over to the painted wall. I slowly back up, making my way around the car. "Have a wonderful day boys and if I ever catch you harassing another girl again then know you'll find yourself in hell. Consider this as a warning and maybe rethink your life."
I hop into the car, knowing the stupid man left his keys in the ignition. I zoom off, laughing to myself a bit. I can't believe I got away so easily. I guess it's because I'm by myself and I don't have to worry about anyone else.
7:50am - 6/21/2017
I was stuck in morning traffic and I was very tired. My eyes were drooping and it was hard to focus. A sign for an exit off the highway caught my attention. Once I exited, I saw the welcoming sign for San Antonio. I pull over to where the truck drivers rest and turn the car off. I check my surroundings before crawling to the back. I secure the gun in my hands, crossing my arms. My eyes fall close and they crack open with every sound. I eventually fall into a deep sleep.
After what felt like hours of sleeping, someone knocks against the window. I frown at the noise, shifting a bit. They start banging on it and I jump, aiming my gun at the person outside the car. They put their hands up, backing away a bit. I slowly exit the car, keeping an aim at the man before me.
"I-I'm sorry for bothering you." he apologizes. "I was just wondering if you had a phone I could use."
I look around to see that there were only two cars around. Mine and I'm assuming is his.
"No." was all I said.
"Ma'am, can you please put the gun down?" he begs. "I just need to make it home for dinner."
My eyebrows knitted together and I tilt my head, observing the man. "You're awfully calm for someone who has a gun in his face." I point out. "The two men I aimed at earlier were horrified."
The sound of gravel moving behind me sounded softly. My ears perk up and I slightly turn my head to look over my shoulder. The shrubs a few feet away shook a bit. Suddenly, the gun was knocked out of my hands. The man had just kicked the gun out of my hand, hurting my wrist. I turn back, seeing him swinging his arm and I duck down. I charge forward, wrapping my arms around his waist and knocking him to the ground.
The guy rolls us over, pressing my arms against the ground. I wince at the sharp pain of gravel digging into my skin. I kick my legs up, head budding our heads. I push him off, raising my leg to kick him further away. I run for the gun, getting ahold of it. Before I got the chance to aim it, a strong force knocks it out of my hand. I glance over to see someone aiming a gun at me from the shrubs.
I panic, trying to grab the gun again, but the guy regained. He wraps his arms around me, throwing me against the car. As he made his way to me, I slap him and he only laughs. That's soon interrupted when I elbow him in the face. Blood drips from his nose and he curses. I knock him down, going after the gun again. I search for the other one with the gun, but he wasn't in sight. The guy comes charging at me and I immediately pull the trigger, getting him right in between the eyes.
A gun sounds from a distance and I look around. Something hot grazes against my arm and I wince at the stinging sensation. I keep my aim, searching in the direction the bullet came from. Then I hear the small sound of gravel behind me. I quickly turn, shooting the guy in his chest and shoulder. He falls, letting his gun go. I race over to him, taking his gun. As I was bending down, something flies past my head. I turn and two other were running after me. I raise both guns I had, shooting them both down.
Next thing, a pair of arms wrap around me from behind. I elbow the person, pushing them away then I hit them in the head with the hard metal gun. It wasn't too hard, but hard enough where they fall to the ground with blood streaming down the side of their face. I point both guns at him and he gasps.
"Who are you working for?" I question him.
"I'm not saying anything." he shouts and I pull the trigger twice on both.
"Useless." I mumble, checking my surroundings again. "Damn it." I groan at the dead bodies around me.
I was startled by someone clapping. It echoed the area and I bring my aim toward the familiar person.
"Woah darling, calm down." he laughs, stopping in his tracks. "I'm Des Styles."
"I know who you are." I say through gritted teeth.
"Oh well, then I guess the whole introduction thing can be skipped, yeah, Lucille Chapman?" he winks, stepping closer. I gasp, backing away and cocking the gun. He just laughs, snapping his fingers and we're crowded by men with guns. "Calm down darling, I just want to talk."
"Then kill me?" I say, feeling uneasy by the amount of men. "I'd rather not."
Des chuckles, glancing down then stepping forward knowing I couldn't and wouldn't move. "You know Lucille, you've killed more of my men then you're own parents did." he tells me and I shrug. "You're very special and I won't kill you if you agree to one thing."
I inhale deeply. "What's that?"
A car rolls behind him and he glances over his shoulder. "Why don't we go somewhere else to discuss it?"
The car door opens and someone steps out. A tall, lean figure with his familiar boots leans against the car. His eyes covered with sunglasses, but his pink lips showed a clear smirk.
"Hello doll face," his deep voice greets me then nods his head. "Come on, we'll have a great time."
