I'm writing this to explain myself.
I want everyone to understand why I am doing what I'm doing. It may hurt the people I love, but if I can change just one life, then I know my story will make a difference.
My name is Elijah Levings. I'm a senior in High School, but not for much longer. I plan to drop out even though there is only about a month and a half left of my last year of school. I'm not dropping out because I'm not doing well, or because I was bullied. That's not the point of this story.
I'm dropping out to show the way I believe life should be lived. The one that society has built is too structured and forced, I want to live a life of freedom and choices. The idea that the United States is free is a load of bull.
We are forced to go to school to learn a job which we will be forced into just to make a living. We are forced to work just to eat and sleep in a sheltered house. But all of this is capitalized. I can't do anything without money, and that's unfair...
I want to document how I can live without having money or anything to my own. I want people to see that there are people out there who are genuinely nice and not corrupt by money.
I want my story to be the first of this revolution, the one to spark thousands. I need my story to be known in the public, so I plan to make a scene. I plan to die a martyr for my cause.
This is my suicide note.
