I woke up on this fine Christmas Eve morning and saw that Sam wasn't next to me. I heard footsteps walking in my room & Charlee appeared with Adam on the side of her. Someone in the middle. I rubbed my eyes and there was Sam. They were holding him by his wrists.

"Whaaa...Whaaa" I looked at them all in confusion.

"Someone was trying to get away" Charlee said as she tapped her foot.

My eyes focused on Sam. "Where were you going Sammie" my eyes began to water.

He sighed. "I was trying to get away from you and your family...because of last night. It's just causing tension and my dad dislikes us being together. I respect him so much to just try walking away from you. But, lucky you I'm back".

"Can you guys let him go" I said. They released him and left the room. Charlee yelled out "I'LL CALL YOU SWEETIE".

"Come here Sam" I moved my finger directing him over here.

He got up and walked over and laid with me.

"Baby, I love you. We're almost out of high school. We are pretty much adults. We're staying together and I promise you that. Forget everybody else, we just need each other" I held his face in my hands.

He kissed my lips and blushed. It warmed my hands up.

"Well, babe we gotta go out to the store for a sec so we can pick up some gifts" he raised his eyebrows.

"Oh, shit I totally forgot" my hand met my face.

He got up and took a pair jeans out my dresser and a sweater to go along with it. He pulled my undies off and put new ones and slid my jeans on.

He lifted me up over his shoulder and carried me down the stairs. I snuggled my face in his shoulder. We got to the bottom & he put me back down.

Sam walked over to the coat rack and slid my coat on. He wrapped my scarf around my neck & slid my hat on. Making me all snuggly and warm.

"Sam, what about breakfast" I looked up at him.

"We'll get something when we're at the mall ok?" he slid his jacket on.

I took his scarf and stood up on my tippy toes and wrapped it around his neck. He blushed and held my hand.

And we're out the door.

The ride to the mall is pretty long. The only time I go is when I'm with Charlee and now with Sam. Almost every store is in there.

I looked out the window at the signs. Staring into the distance.

"What shall we buy your mom & pop" he looked over at me, not paying attention to the road.

"Eyes on the road, and I don't know yet... Maybe something from Bath & body works for mom, and something from the sports store for dad" I clenched my teeth.

"You'll figure something out" he grinned.

Finally got into the malls parking lot. Packed with late shoppers.

Sam opened my door and held my hand to the entrance. A couple familiar faces stared at us.

"Oh my god it's that little girl who works at that cafe" one girl gasped.

Do I really look like a girl? Oh boy, I already wanna go home. People were chuckling and laughing. As if we were freak couple. I looked up at Sam.

"Ignore them" he whispered. I gulped and pointed to bath and body works. He followed behind me still holding my hand.

"Hehe Sammie, I like this big basket for mommy" . It was a brown basket with chocolate tissue paper. It had Shea butter soaps and lotions. Absolutely perfect for mom.

"We can buy her a couple baskets" Sam looked at the price tags of the baskets.

"Baby.. That's too much" I looked up at him and bit my lip.

"Fine, we can buy her a robe and slippers. Ya know a spa" he thought and thought.

He carried the basket to the checkout table and purchased the basket.

I grabbed his hand and giggled to myself in joy.

"Hey Sam... Is that you?" I heard a voice. We turned around and I looked at this strange dark fellow. He had brown long hair and he looked very dirty. No clean shave. He wore all black. Strange & dark.

"KIERAN?....." Sam yelled.

"So great to see you" he grinned. "Is this your girlfriend".

"No I'm his boyfriend" my face turned red. I'm not a fucking girl.

"Cute, I'll see you later Sam" he winked and walked away.

"Who was that Sam?" I stared up at him.

He hesitated and finally said "My Ex".
