"6 O'clock Jerome!" my mom yelled as she viciously pinched my leg. It was the first day at my new school and boy was I unhappy. I rolled off my bed and considered if taking a bath was necessary, ultimately I decided it wasn't but my mom sent me back upstairs before I had a chance to explain why I was still in my pajamas. After my shower I stood in the mirror staring at my outfit wondering if more effort should have been put in, realizing no one cared about how I looked I shrugged my shoulders, brushed my teeth and shaped my knotty hair back into a muff. It was a few minutes until we had to leave as I covered myself with my black and white Thrasher sweatshirt, joggers and slid my Adidas slippers onto my feet. I grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs to the kitchen for a granola bar, but of course my little sister Majesty took the last two ( I think she takes her name too literal). "Maj !" I yelled at her but there was no time to argue or I would have to catch the bus on my first day. I hopped in the front of my mom's car, "nice outfit" she said sarcastically "where are your glasses Rome ? You know you can barely see without them." My glasses were the worst part of my summer, even worse than the whole moving states situation. They were your average big, squared guy glasses. My plan was to ditch them but nothing got pass my mom and she was right, I was practically blind without them. Once again I darted upstairs grabbed my glasses from my room and snatched a granola bar from Majesty's hands as I ran back down. Finally the journey to school began.
