The hidden Pureblood (Vampire Knight fanfic)

Chapter One

    My name is Zero Kiryu....or at least that is what everybody believes. I am a vampire and I am friends with Yuuki Cross. I am a girl but hide it. I am actually a pureblood, but I am really old and don't want to have to deal with the other vampires. If they knew I was a girl and that I can mate with either male or female and have kids they would all be after me.

    I sit up in bed, feeling my hair on my back, "shit...." I get up and walk to the bathroom. "I should just leave it down today..." I put my hair into a ponytail, and sighed, "Why can't I just cut it all off? Oh right.....because Yuuki won't let me cut it," I walk out of my dorm room and head to class. 

    "ZERO!" Yuuki calls from down the hall and hugs me before I can turn around.

     "Ugh!" I try to not fall over, "Yuuki please let go....you are pulling my hair..." I say as she gets off, "What is with you being all happy today?"

     "We have a new student!" she says hopping in place.

     "Day or night class?" I say still walking.

      "Night.....They say their name is Kattana Okami....a pureblood princess," she says opening the door to our classroom. 

      "Why is she coming here? She could go to the vampire school for Purebloods.." I say as we walk to our seats. 

     "I mean everybody is talking about it. The night class is all getting the moon dorms ready right now..." she says while we wait for the other students to arrive.

    "I see....when is this Kattana getting here?" I say looking bored.

     The rest of the class was boring as usual. Yuuki and I had been called to Headmaster Cross's office halfway through class. "This is Kattana Okami. She is a Pureblood and will be attending Cross Academy starting today. Please show her around the school." he says to us. We nod and walk out of the room.

    "Hi...I am Yuuki Cross, and I am the headmaster's daughter." Yuuki says walking backward. I stayed quiet until, "Zero! Stop being a bum!" Yuuki yells at me hitting my head.

     "Geez Yuuki! That hurt!" I grabbed her hair and yank it.

     "Zero? May I talk to you alone?" Kattana says.

     "I need to go on patrol anyways. Have fun!" Yuuki calls as she runs off.

     I put my hands in my pockets, "Zero? Your Zero?" Kattana says almost crying.

     "Been a long time Kattana....how are you? How is father?" I say staring forward.

     "Father is not well.....after mother died he broke. He really misses you big sister..." she says looking at me while walking backward.

    "I see...but I like being here, and I would like it if you didn't call me big sister.....I am acting like a guy here...." I say finally looking at her. Her hair is silver like mine, but in length, it goes past her knees. While I keep it at butt length, and even at that, I keep it up making it look shorter. 

     "Okay....Sorry Zero..." she looks down with sadness in her eyes. For the first time in years, I felt bad for my little sister.

     "Alright....Let's get you to the moon dorms," I grabbed her hand and guided her across campus.

     "Zero....does anybody else know the truth about you like I do?" She says looking at me like she always did.

     "Headmaster Cross does...." I said as I opened the door to see the night class standing with a welcome sign hanging.

      "Welcome to Cross Academy!" they all shout. Kaname came over and hugged Kattana.

      "My name is Kaname Kuran. I am dorm president. It is nice to meet you..." he pulls away grabbing her hand he kisses it.

      "I am Kattana Okami...I am a pureblood..." she bows to Kaname and looks at me.

      "Please treat Kattana-sama with care..." I say before leaving. 

-Next day-

     I wake up, and have to down five blood tablets. But still my thirst gets worse. "Shit!" A knock sounds at my door, and I get up to open it. "Y-yuuki?"

     "I was just passing and heard you yell..." she says sitting by me looking at my eyes. "Is the blood tablets not working again?" she moves her hair from her neck and it makes me grab her quickly. I bite into her neck, and realize what I just did. I pull away wiping my mouth just as Yuuki falls over. I grab her and rush to the night dorms.

     "Kaname!" I yell as I enter.

     "Zero! What happened to Yuuki?!" Kaname says running over with Kattana behind him.

     "Zero...did you bite her?" Kattana grabs her out of my arms and looks at her neck.

     "I didn't mean to....but she wanted me to bite her...." I cover my face crying.

      "Get her into my room!" Kaname yells while he grabs me and drags me to his room Kattana behind us.

      "Zero....you need to tell them the truth!" Kattana says while laying Yuuki on the bed.

      "Fine....." I say looking at Kaname, "Kaname...My name is Zero Okami...I am Kattana's older sibling....and...I am her older sister...." I say walking to Yuuki, and biting my hand. I spit the blood into a cup. "Give this to her when she wakes up." I put the cup on the table and take off my necklace revealing my true form.

     "You....you look beautiful...." Kaname said mesmerized by me. I backed up, and held my hands to my chest.

     "Please....don't hurt me..." I say as Kaname gets closer.

     "Kaname! Stop!" Kattana yells throwing him to the wall.

     He looks up, "But Zero smells so good, and I can't help it..." he appears behind me, and bites my neck.

     "Kan...kaname stop!" I say before passing out.

Here it is...srry about discontinuing the other VK fanfic but I just can't write it anymore. But this is to make up for it. Hope you like it!
