The hidden Pureblood (Vampire Knight fanfic)

Chapter Three

     Ruka and I wake up an hour before class starts. We both start to get dressed both of us 'accidentally' brushing up against the other. Neither of us say anything as we headed down the stairs being the first ones ready. I sit on one of the two couches and Ruka sits by me. I checked the staircase to see if anybody else was coming, and only after confirming that nobody was coming down I push Ruka down on her back. Pinning her down I press my lips to hers roughly. She had convinced me to leave my hair completely down so my hair falls over my shoulders and brushes up against her shoulders and arms. A muffled noise escapes her lips as I press my leg between hers.

     We break apart suddenly from somebody jerking my shoulder causing me to fall off the couch. I look at the person and immediately regret kissing Ruka. "WHAT THE HELL ZERO! GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!" Kattana stares at me with a glare, "Why must I always be the one saving your ass?" She looks at Ruka and Ruka becomes really pale, "And you Ruka. I am sure Kaname will be happy to deal with you..."

     Just as Kattana says Kaname's name he walks up to me helping me up. I stare at my little sister then look at Ruka as Kaname drags me out of the moon dormitory. Before I realized what he was doing his lips were on my neck, and his fangs in my neck. I struggled a bit then as he pulled me close I closed my eyes tilting my head for him. I seemed to just melt into him. After a couple of minutes he pulls away and looks me in the eyes, "Zero....no more letting others bite you...am I understood?" I can't seem to find my voice so I just nod and he takes my hand walking with me to class.

     Today in class we were taking a test. The test was easy, the hard thing was knowing that Kaname was four feet away from me and that both me and him had already finished our tests. But due to the other people still testing we had to remain silent and four feet apart. I was glad when the teacher announced that me and Kattana could head out to switch with Yuuki and Ichiru.

     Kattana and I worked in silence. She wasn't even looking at me. I think she is still upset about me and Ruka, but what was I supposed to do. This damn urge is killing me slowly. I fucking hate this curse, and I really hate that I don't have the guts to talk to my own little sister about it. Kattana and I used to be so close, but then when people found out about my curse my whole life fell apart. Father and mother risked everything to protect me, and mother died doing it. Kattana was only five years old when I left to protect them. 

     I sat on the wall of the school building staring at the ground lost in thought when my thoughts were interrupted by a scream. I was on my feet and jumping off the wall to the ground before my thoughts were even able to piece together what was happening. All I knew was that it was my duty to protect the students of this school. I came up on a group of people all in black, and in the middle was a girl in white. Orange hair could be seen through the legs of the dayclass students. Must be Rima Toya.

     Reaching my hand into my jacket I pull out Bloody Rose and jump into the middle of the circle, "All right dayclass go back to your dorms and I might forget about telling the Headmaster about this whole thing," the dayclass students all say rude things which I have learned to ignore. While they left I kneeled down by Rima my hand out, "You okay Rima?"

     She looks up at me with a thankful smile and takes my hand. I help her to her feet and she brushes herself off, "Thanks Zero. I was just out for a walk and they just....surrounded me..." she looks down.

     "Hey, just head to your dorm and rest. Don't let their actions cause you pain," she looks at me and smiles. Before heading off she places something in my hands. When I looked down at the object I started to smile.
