Early Start

Voices are not what you want to hear in the morning. I hate mornings.
"Dylan wake up!"
No go away.
"Just push him off"
Wait what? I could feel someone push me and before I could react I was sprawled out on the floor. I could hear laughing as I sat up my messy hair falling over my eyes. I didn't even need to look to know my two brothers Liam and Benny had pushed me "Seriously guys what the hell" I growled glaring at them which probably would've been effective in scaring them if I could actually look intimidating. The only reaction I got was two identical smirks Benny ruffled my hair "It's morning little brother we have school remember" he said I honestly tried to forget about school I always tried to block out that nightmare. I glanced at the clock and saw that it read 5:00 I looked back to my brothers "But it's five in the morning I'm not supposed to be up for another hour" I protested though if I was being honest with myself it sounded like whining. Liam grinned "Sure we know that" he said "But Henry's driving us to school soon because he needs to get somewhere." Henry didn't have to go to school it was his last year and he had finished his exams so he got days off. He mostly used them to apply for colleges but usually he stayed at home to help mom. Wait that reminds me "Hey where's mom?" I asked and I saw my brothers faces fall slightly "She's uh at the hospital again wouldn't tell us why" Liam said softly which was surprising because he's usually really loud. My mom was sick a lot but she never really told me what was wrong. I had a feeling that my brothers knew even though they kept on denying it and I think I deserve to know since she's my mom too I was worried and it apparently showed.

Benny looked at me sympathetically "Hey buddy she'll be okay it's probably nothing" he said "Come on Liam lets go get our stuff" he dragged him out of my room. I looked down and sighed just another day I guess. I managed to get ready pretty quickly and I rushed downstairs and ran into the kitchen. It's just my luck that I managed to trip over my shoe lace but as I fell I felt someone grab my arm to stop me falling. "Watch out Dylan" I heard a voice say I spun around and saw my oldest brother Mick. He was smiling at me almost like he wanted to laugh it wasn't my fault I was clumsy. "What are you doing here I thought you were staying over at Amelia's" I asked curiously "Yeah didn't go down so well" he said with a laugh "We got into an argument and broke up but to be honest she was getting kind of clingy so I'm happy." My brother was a weird guy he always seemed unfazed by everything "Um okay" I said sounding slightly uncertain I never really knew what to say in these situations. I went to sit down at the table "Wheres Henry?" I asked "Outside he's getting the truck started" Mick said "Look man sorry I can't take you guys to school today I have something important to do" I understood my older brothers were really busy "It's cool" I said it kind of hurt that they never really payed attention to me much. I got up grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder I walked out and got into the truck which was really old. I had a feeling this was going to be a long day one where I wish I had stayed in bed. Liam and Benny got in either side of me "Ready for school" Liam joked he let out a laugh and I rolled my eyes okay so Liam is back to normal "Yeah can't wait" I said dryly. "Both of you shut up for a minute" Henry said he had to concentrate really hard when driving because he was a learner but I just think he likes it when we don't talk. He finds the three of us annoying which is unfair, just because Liam and Benny are annoying doesn't mean I am. I sat back as the car started and I put my earphones in to block out my brothers. This day was not going to go his way he could tell.
