Getting ready

"Leaving in 10" my mom yelled from the kitchen
Shit, I'm not even up yet
"Okay! Almost done" I lied.
I finally built up enough strength to get up.
I stretch my body out, like I do every morning, but it doesn't feel the same.
I'm in a new room.
New house.
New town.
And today I'll be going to a new school.

I quickly throw on my clothes and go to my desk, that is set up by my window, and start to apply a small amount of makeup.

New school, new beginnings.
I hated the fact of moving, my last school was my normal.
I'd been at that school all three years of my high school education.

Now here comes senior year, and mom and dad say "We're moving!" and you are happy on the inside and can't wait, but you have to show, your mad at them, and "why?! I only have one more year at that school" or the classic "ughhh, you're ruining my life" with the occasional slamming your hand on the table, and making a dramatic exit as you run upstairs, into your room and slam your door.

"ARIA!" My mom yells up the stairs interrupting my thoughts
"WHAT?" I yell back
"Five more minutes, and I swear I will leave you on your first day"
"Okay" I hurried and did the finishing touches on my makeup

I rushed down the stairs, accidentally bumping into Aiden.

My annoying ass of brother.

"Watch out kid" he said pushing me out of his way

"Good morning to you too" I said rolling my eyes

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the box of cereal and a plastic sandwich bag, which I poured myself some.

I zipped the baggie, grabbed a banana and made my way to the garage door.

"Well, look who we have here" Dad said

"A highschool senior," I boldly stated putting on my shoes.

"Geezz kiddo, don't give me a heart attack on the way to work" he said walking out the door

I laughed at his little joke.

"Have a good day at your school Aria!" Dad waved to me before sliding into his car and driving off

"Ready?!" Mom asked
"Ready as I'll ever be!" I tried to sound confident

"Aiden! We're leaving! Try to do something productive today, and your picking your sister up after school today!" Mom yelled as she walked out ahead of me

"Bye Aria! Good luck today" Aiden replied

Yea, luck, I'll definitely need that and much more.
