I don't know why I'm even writing these letters anymore, it seems pointless. No change in your health has occurred over the past two weeks and I probably should go home. But I can't, this guilt won't let me, I
"Isaac?" The nurse- Cathy- says softly, interrupting Isaac from his writing. He looks up to show acknowledgement but says nothing in return.
"We are going to need you to leave a for little bit, Dr. Green wants to run some tests to see if Ant has any brain activity. You can go for now, we'll call you as soon as we have results." She explains and Isaac gives her a blank, nonchalant look.
After a few minutes he responds, "Okay." Before standing and exiting the hospital room, giving Ant one last glance.
Once he has left, Cathy notices a piece of paper on the bedside table and recognizes it as a letter. She goes to grab and races after Isaac so he can retrieve it.
"Isaac, you left-" She starts, only to be interrupted by said Irish boy.
"Leave it. Trash it, it doesn't matter to me."
