Sweet Payback

Niki POV

I was slowly padding around my parents house on my tiptoes trying to avoid all of the groaning boards. I was using my advanced nose to sniff out his sweet scent of weirdly enough apples and caramel. Mmm caramel.... Kaya thought at his scent. I know right it is sooooooooooo yummy! I replied almost drooling... I heard a squeak from one of the protesting boards. It wasn't us so that must mean.... I whipped around to see Xavier standing there with a look of confusion and fear..

"HAHAHA I FOUND YOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUU!!!!" I yelled victoriously and tacked him successfully tagging him and ran away, leaving Xavier laying there shocked.

Xavier's POV

I didn't realize that she was being so cautious about where she put her feet was because the boards made noises. I guess we found that out a little bit too late, huh? my wolf Grant replied sarcastically, as I pushed myself up off the hardwood floor and picked up her sweet scent. I began to follow it  strangely enough it lead back upstairs to her room then I lost her scent. I admit I panicked a little. Where is she?!?!!? I cried to Grant. I don't know! he replied equally panicked. Then I walked in her room slightly crouched but I scented her again and relaxed a little still crouched.

"Niiiiikkkkkiiiiiiiii?" I said drawing her name out slowly knowing she probably would begin to giggle. Then I heard it- a small sneeze, coming from the closet. I smiled and slowly walked over there and stopped and stared with a smile across my face. Then I whipped open the closet doors and laughed evilly. I looked down and saw my cute little mate sitting on the ground with her legs cramped up to her chest staring at me with her brown eyes wide and her mouth open slightly. Quickly before she could move I grabbed her under her armpits and threw her over my shoulder. Niki screamed and giggled and began to pound on my back with her fists. I laughed and slapped her on the butt walking out of the room.

"Put me down!!!!" she screamed pounding me on the back again without success.

"Hmmm I think not." I replied with an evil chuckle. Then she did something I did not expect. She pinched me right on my butt!! I cried out and dropped her in surprise. She laughed and ran into her bathroom.

"Payback!" she shouted from her bathroom before closing and locking the bathroom door.

Niki POV

I can't believe I pinched his butt! I thought to Kaya. Mmm squishy. She replied licking her lips. I scoffed and rolled my eyes at my wolf. I was waiting for Xavier to come and bang on the door to get revenge for my pinch, but he never came.... Where is he? I asked Kaya. She simply shrugged I can't hear Grant. she replied. I figured Grant is Xavier's wolf so I didn't question her. Then I heard a scraping noise from the other side of the door. Then to my surprise the doorknob fell off. I helped in shock as the door pushed open and there stood Xavier holding a screwdriver and the other doorknob. I sat there gaping at his smile and his large screwdriver.

"My turn for payback." Xavier chuckled darkly
