Percy was at camp. The sun was shining, and the lake water shimmered. Percy opened his mouth, but then saw campers. They were whispering, as if something was wrong. "I can't believe-" one whispered, "Jason he-" Another whispered, several groups where whispering, hushed tones filled the camp ground.
He looked at his watch, it led the date. August 8th, 2017. That was strange, it wasn't 2017 yet. It was set a year earlier? No, that couldn't be right. It was no where near his birthday, as much as he remembered. He opened his mouth again, but no words came out.
He was like a muted tv- all he could do was watch. Then, everything stopped. The whispers stopped, and everyone was still. Percy looked, everyone was looking at one person. But it was to big of a crowd for him to see. "Percy. You're out of your cabin." A voice said, Travis Stoll, but he was worried.
You could hear it in his voice. Pervy finally moved from the crowd, it wasn't hard, seeing he had moved right through them. Almost like he was invisible. Percy- not himself, the dream version- stared blankly at Travis. "Yeah. But soon I'll be gone." He spoke, Percy's eyebrows fused together. This wasn't him, the voice was to deep and his eyes weren't blue.
What was going on? Then, time stopped. Everything paused, and Percy cautiously stepped to get a little closer. Then, his dream self grabbed him. His eyes glowing like electricity, and his grip felt like it was made of iron. The dream Percy muttered a few words in Greek- maybe Latin?
Point was, Percy couldn't tell what they where. The ground slowly snaked around their feet, going up their legs. Percy wanted to scream, he opened his mouth, but again- no sound came out. The dream him chuckled. "Poor hero." He said, this defiantly wasn't him! The ground then swallows them both. Browns, reds, and dark oranges covered Percy vision, it was all blurred.
It was to fast for him to clearly see what was happening. The atmosphere was hot, and the excruciating temperature was rising. The air thinned, and the dream Percy's grip was tightening around his wrist. Then he saw it, he was back in Tartarus. Then, it make matters worse, Luke was there. And just to add to Percy's crappy dream- he was holding Jason.
With a knife in his hand. Holding that knife against Jason. Jason's throat. "You didn't save us Percy." Luke stated, his eyes gold again. "What do you mean us!" He screamed, his voice working again. Luke put the knife to his side, and pushed Jason on the ground. Percy ran to Jason. Jason looked at him, his eyes where gold. "You never saved me Percy."
He said, Percy gasped. The other Percy laughed, pushing Percy to the ground. Jason stood up, "You never thought about me! Never saved me! Never cared!" He shouted, he snatched the knife from Luke. "And now. It's your turn."He stated, Percy noticed the scars. So many scars. They traveled up his arms, laid on his palms, and even a few were on his forehead. White scars, but some fresh red ones. "Time to pay!" He screamed, the knife raised above Jason's head.
Percy woke up, sweating and breathing heavily. His mother opened the door, the hinges creaked loudly. Percy flinched, "Percy? Are you alright?"
His mother asked, Percy gave her a smile. He had another nightmare about. . . That. Not that she needed to know. "Yeah. I'm fine. Just go back to sleep." He told her, she nodded and closed the door. He heard her footsteps lighten, and soon he heard her door close. He let out a shaky breath. He had to IM Jason. Something was wrong- he felt it.
But before he could, he paused. He had no Dramachas- this sucked. He sighed, he'll call him tomorrow, or see him- either way. Percy received an IM as he was just about to go to bed.
He quickly turned the lights on. "Jason?" He asked, Jason waved. "Percy. The dreams are back." He told him. Percy but his lip. "You okay?" Jason asked him. "Jason. My dreams are back to." He told him, Jason visibly paled. "Percy, we have to talk to my dad." He stated, Percy nodded.
"I'll get-" "Percy? What are you doing? Oh hello Jason!" She asked him, opening the door. It once again gave a big creak as the hinges moved. He winced, "Just. Um. Recovering from a nightmare." Percy said, which wasn't half true. Sally looked concerned but nodded.
"Hey mom?" Percy called, she looked at him. "I have to go to Olympus tonight." He told her, "This late? The gods sure know how to mess up a sleep schedule." She told him. Percy shrugged and nodded. "Meet you at Olympus." Jason told hand m before cutting off the IM.
Percy picked up his backpack, already packed- he had packed it before hand. Knowing he'd need it within the next few days. That was weeks ago. But he needed to be careful.
"Bye mom." He told her, kissing her cheek. "Tell Paul I'm not coming tomorrow." He said, before shutting the door and leaving his apartment.
