Percival Graves, a court inspector, was a friend of the Barebone family for 3 months now.
He met Alexander Barebone, lawyer and a husband of Mary Lou, 4 months ago on one of the cases they worked on together. Since then, as they worked more and more together, they managed to become very good friends and as time went by he met Alexander's whole family and he got invited to their mansion quite oftenly.
In these past 3 months he has gotten to know the family quite enough to become their seemingly trusted friend. He has gotten to know every single one of the Barebone family members, everyone except the mysterious middle child Credence.
He has seen Credence around the mansion, at the dinners he's been invited on by the family, and through the windows of the mansion as he and Alexander rode horses around the Barebone property, but he didn't manage to speak with Credence as much as with everyone else, and that was because Credence wasn't around that much, he usually hid around the mansion or the safety of his room, and also because he usually replied with short answers which Percival realized was a result of his parents' treatment of the young man.
Percival, being a rather curious man, decided to befriend this child and on his surprise he will discover that this one single decision will change his life. Forever.
