Joshua watched the little girl sing to herself, his shoulder leaning against the door frame.
He tensed and felt a surge of nausea when he heard what she was singing as she watched the rain patter against the window:
"Hickory dickory dock,
mankind is on the clock.
I greatly fear
the end is near,
hickory dickory dock."
And then, as if on cue, the earthquakes started.
