Friends ~a Jacob sartorius fanfic~

14|| the party

     Im careful not to ruin my dress or makeup as I put it back on, me and Loren got dressed at the house but I decided to take my dress off when we got to the hotel. Just so I wouldn't ruin it. Cameron is sitting up in bed.
     "Do you know where my keys are?" He asks.
     I laugh, "Probably in your pants."
     "Oh yeah." He replies
     I finish curling my hair and grab my phone.
     "Come on we have to meet lor and geo in half an hour."

<at the party>
I glanced around the room one more time before giving up. I sigh and turn around before getting a glimpse of curly blonde hair.
"Finally," I whisper to myself before running up to her. "Loren! I've been looking for you everywhere."
"Oh sorry I was just talking with some people. To be honest I don't even know half of them." She laughed.
"Not mentioning the fact that half of their face is covered and makes it that much harder to recognize people." I add.
"Excuse me, I saw you standing across the room and I couldn't help myself." Another voice says.
I turn around to see a man in front of me, smiling beautifully. I giggle.
"May I have this dance?" He asks as a new song starts.
I let him take my hand as he leads me to the dance floor. It was something from an fairytale, I swear. Colors blur and the song plays as I'm spinning and whirling around the floor. It's so magical I can't explain it. I smile the biggest I've ever smiled and I'm laughing as the man in front dips and spins me over and over again. Having the time of my life, I completely forgot about Jacob and cam, and all my worries in the world.
The song finally ends and everyone starts clapping as I soon realize everyone has moved off the dance floor to watch me and this mysterious man dance across the floor. I begin to blush.
"They're all staring at you." I smile.
"No, gabby, they're staring at you." He stares into my eyes and I know them. I've seen this man before.. but I can't seem to...
"Thank you, for that dance." I say interrupting my own thoughts.
And it occurs to me. He knows who I am. He knows my name.
"Wait," I say as we're walking off the dance floor, "how do you know my name?"
     He smiles gently and sits me down on the sofa, which is supposed to be for just decoration.
     He slowly reaches up to untie his mask from his face. I stare in shock and I realize who it is. He grabs my hand and the memories flood back, everything I've been trying to keep down.
     "Gabby, I'm so sorry for everything and I love you." Jacob says.
     I look away, with tears in my eyes. I pull my hands away. He cheated on you. Don't let him fool you. I remind myself.
     "But you-  Jacob.  At one point I loved you too but I just, you hurt me. Really bad and you basically laughed at me. Telling me that your happy about it? And Cam, I love him. He doesn't lie to me and he treats me right. Unlike you." I said firmly while getting up.
     I tried walking away but Jacob was quick and grabbed my wrist.
     "Please, give me one more chance." He stood there with tears in his eyes, basically begging for forgiveness.
     I sigh and shake my head, "I'm sorry Jacob." Then I walked away.
      I pulled out my phone and texted Cam.

Me: hey meet me in the back by the pool.
Cam: ok, is everything ok?
Me: yeah just pls hurry
Cam: ok

     After about 3 minutes I finally saw him walking out the door. He looked up at me and smiled. 
     "Dang it's been like 5 hours since I last saw you." He laughed and I realized he was right the party started at about 5 and it's now 10:23.
     We sat down on the bench and stared at the stars. Everything was silent except the chirps of the grasshoppers and the faint music from inside.
"Cam." I finally broke the silence.
"Ya." He looked at me.
"I saw Jacob today," I started, trying to see his reaction but he just started blankly at the sky. I decide to continue," and.. we danced. But I didn't know it was him until he took off his mask. Then he told me that he loved me and I told him no, that I had you. But.. I just don't know anymore." Tears escape my eyes once more.
He looked at me and sadness takes over his once blank eyes.
"I love you but I think we should.. "

Cameron's pov
     " Take a break for a while." Gabby finishes.
     I don't say anything. I still love her but I won't fight back. I understand. Tears fall down my eyes. I lift my mask up and lean down. Our lips touch and I pull away.
     "I love you." She gets up and walks away.
     I'm not even sure what happened. I'm left siting there shocked. I look down and let the tears fall. I love you too. I whisper to myself. I'm not mad at gabby nor Jacob. I'm not happy or anything. I just feel empty. A feeling I can't explain. I sigh and shake my head while getting up.
     "Hey Loren," I say as I walk up to her.
     She just looks at me and understands. She tilts her head a little and smiles. She opens her mouth to say something but she looks down.
     "Hey. It's ok, I know she still loves you. She was just overwhelmed. Just give her some time." She seems to read my mind. More tears fall and she opens her arms before hugging me.
     "I should go." I say quietly.
     Loren smiles and nods, "yeah, I'll see you later Cam." And I walk out the door.

This was probably one of my longest chapters and it actually wasn't boring! Yay me😂jkjk but seriously thank you guys sm for almost 1k reads it means so much to me!!
Btw I decided to take out that last chapter because it just didn't feel right and it was kinda irrelevant to the rest of the story, I mean there was really no point in keeping it so I just took it out. Buy ya, love you all !!
