It was New Year's Eve so me and Naomi was at my place watching a good movie little do she know I have something waiting for her outside.

"So after this movie is over I'm gonna need you to stay in the house for a good 10 minutes and I will call you when I'm ready for you to come out"

I can tell she is anxious to go see what the surprise is but I want this to be perfect so I'm gonna have to double check and make sure everything is in place we have been dating for 5 months now and I'm really enjoying every bit of our relationship. I've never gotten so comfortable around someone so quickly as Naomi she made me feel like a million bucks.

"Oh gosh babe i really wanna know what it is" Naomi says still watching the movie

"Babe I already gave you a hint, that's the only hint your gonna get besides that hint I gave you is actually a big part in this surprise"

I could tell she was still thinking hard about this plus Sasha told me she wouldn't shut up about it but believe me it will all be worth it in the end

She sits up and looks at me, "so you're saying that the word promise is a huge part in the surprise" she asks me

"Yes darling, yes it is" 40 minutes later the movie was over she stayed on the couch like I asked for her to do.

"Ok 10 minutes exactly and i will call you to come out side" I said while putting my jacket on and she gave me the thumbs up and smiled at me

"Alright you got the necklace for me right" I ask my friend David who works at a jewelry store I told him what kind of necklace I wanted and like dean said not to extravagant but I had to keep that in mind.

"Yeah I got you, take a good look" David opened the red leather box and showed it to me it was a diamond necklace it had two hearts around one another.

"This is gonna blow her mind" I mumble to myself, "I owe you one David for real"

"Ah this is was nothing dolph I can see how much you love her" David said patting my back, "so don't let go of her"

My phone goes off telling me it was time for Naomi to come out it was 11:58

"I just got 2 minutes left and wouldn't dream of it" I say to David and wave him goodbye as he gets in his car

I call Naomi tell her to come outside and her expression made my heart bounce. It was a small picnic on the grass with champagne and music playing in the background

"We have now" I look at my phone, "one minute left"

I gently grab her hand and place her on the blanket

"Wanna count down?" I pull her next to me and wrap my arm around her shoulder

"10"I say starting the countdown for her

"9" she says smiling at me

As soon as we heard people cheering and firecrackers going off I pulled her into a passionate kiss.

After we let go of each other i told her to close her eyes and wait until i say open.

"Alright babe open your eyes" I give her the jewelry box she looks at me and gives me that adorable little face and open the box

"Oh my gosh babe" Naomi gasped putting the box on the floor and holding the necklace, "this is so beautiful"

I love seeing her happy it just sent chills down my spine I struck gold when I found her.

"I also got you a letter" I say blushing a little I rewrote it like 3 times and I still don't think it's enough

She opens it and begins to read it

I saw she was trying to hold back tears so I pulled her into a hug

"Dolph that was beautiful" she says still hugging me

"It was from the heart" I say kissing her forehead
