Blackfeather's POV

"Yo, Black!" Taka said as he hi-fived me. I walked with him to our classroom, only to see my target in there. A familiar blonde girl, with a cape and a bow. She was scribbling something down, and I walked up to her.

She was so lame, no matter what angle you look at her.

Smirking, I picked up her notebook and looked at it. It was a diary, for who knows, and I don't care. I just huffed and threw it on the floor.

"My notebook!" Kestrel said as she scrambled down the floor to pick up her notebook. Just as she was about to pick it up, I kicked it. I laughed with my friends and chuckled continuously.

"Oh. Ms. Aspiring Archer here has an itsy-bitsy diary. What a lame thing." I chuckled and Taka blurted out another insult.

"Hey. Don't make her cry. She'll lose reputation of being a fearsome archer. Rooar!" Taka insulted and she stood up. Her tears are evident and her lips are bit back. I can also see her fists clench.

Smirking, I pulled her by the collar and whispered.

"Are you scared? See, you are nothing but a pathetic being." I smirked before I felt a pounding sensation in my stomach.

She punched me.

I groaned in pain and held the table for a support. Meanwhile, Taka pushed her and she fell off yet again to the floor. Taka also took her bag and threw it towards her, before a ceramic thing broke.

"No,no, no...." she whimpered as she rummaged through her bag and picked up a broken piece of an hourglass. The next thing I know is Taka falling to the floor.

"You merciless idiots! How dare you!" A feline girl, wearing yellow dress and claws slapped Taka. Claws unsheathed. Taka was dumbfounded, since he may see her as a match for him.

"Let's go, Kestrel." The cat said and walked off to somewhere.

Kestrel's POV

"No..." I cried as tears messed up my hair. Cath and Koshka is by my side, and Celeste patting my back. I held out the hourglass, and sobbed again.

"Hey... We know that story. But... it was done already... we can't reverse something... If only my stars could, I will." Celeste said and I cried again, remembering the hourglass' background.

Flashback:

"Kestrel" Grandma said as I approached her, holding my toy bow. I sat beside her rocking chair, and Grandma held out an hourglass. It was gold, and has dragon designs in it.

"This is a precious relic bestowed upon our family for generations. It was made out of pure gold, and a glass so fragile that a single strike can break it." Granny said as she looked to the sky.

I held my hand out as she gave me the hourglass.

"Now, Kestrel, I give this to you. Never lose this, okay? This is the symbol of our family. We may look tough outside, but very soft inside. Okay?" Granny said as he rocked her chair once more.

"Yes, Grandma. I will shoot anyone who lands a finger on this." I said as I pretended to shoot arrows. Grandma chuckled and patted my head.

"That should always be with you whenever you go." She said and I nodded. "I can finally rest..."

"Grandma?" I said as I shook her. Her body was not moving. I checked her pulse.

Nothing.

"Mommaa!" I shouted as I saw my mom rush out and the sirens wailed.

End of Flashback.

"Granny will be disappointed with me..." I said as I clenched my fist.

"I will never forgive them."
