Personally, I think this is the only decent chapter I have written in my entire life. Welp, this is kind of a hurt story and writing this made me cry. A bit. I don't know.

Please comment if this is good, since I think it's not. Really.

Okay, so on with it.

Joule's POV

"I love you."

"Um... here take this. Take Care!"

That's how it's always been. After every training, he would go to me and hand me over a paper rose, and leave.

That's how my relationship with Vox is.

Well, I first met him in the bar and sooner, we became best friends and we fell in love. But even so... I never heard him say 'I love you' even just a single time. I don't know, but that word only came from me, and was not reciprocated.

"Celeste!" I waved at her, while she was walking along the corridor. She approached me and waved back.

"Joule! Looking for Vox?" She said, as she was reading my mind. Well, it's pretty obvious.

"Um.. yeah? Have you seen him by any chance?"

"Yes, he's in the left wing of the corridor." She answered and I thanked her.

Running through the corridor, I spotted him, blasting music while talking to Adagio and Ringo. He never have seemed to notice me, before Adagio pointed to me. Wow. Even Adagio acknowledged my presence and he didn't?

"Um... hi Joule!" He beamed at me, with his hands on his pocket. I forced a smile and greeted him back. His white hair glistened under the piercing rays of the sun, and his delicate hands are fishing for something inside his pocket.

"Um... I was wondering if you would go out on a date or something? Like a movie?" I said. Suddenly, I remembered what Cath said that I should not be the one asking. But either way, what's important is I spend time with him.

"Um... sorry, I can't. I have a well..." he started. "A meeting."

I felt disappointment rush in my face. Upon hearing those words, I can't help but wonder...

Am I important to him?

Then he gave me the same paper rose, everyday of the week. Today is Monday, so he gave me two roses. I don't know why, but all for the other days, he gave me only one.

"Okay. So here." He said as he handed me over the rose. He smiled at me and I smiled back, burying the disappointment within me.

"Thanks. I love you."

"Okay. Bye and Take care." That was all he said each time I say I love you.

Until...

Our anniversary came. I thought that he would ask me out on a date or a movie. So I waited for his call on my phone. Hours passed, my robot was already de-activating, still no ringtone was heard. After which then, I too, fell asleep.

But in the middle of the night, my robot budged me and handed me my phone. Vox texted me to go to our tree. He said it was special, and cannot simply let go of it. That's where he usually hangs out.

"Oh Joule!" He greeted me, as he handed me another paper rose. He sat down on a bench and I went beside him.

"Sorry I wasn't able to give that yesterday. My schedule was awfully full." He said, while he played with his fingers. What? He doesn't remember anything about yesterday?

"Do you know what it is yesterday?" I asked him, hoping he would remember it. Instead, he shrugged.

"Yesterday? What happened yesterday?" He responded. I was fuming.
