The Angel

I ran into a room. The dim lights shining in the room but you couldn't see anything. I could hear a little girl sobbing.

"Hello?" I asked walking toward the middle of the room. Looking around.

"W-who are you?" The voice came out low and scared

"I'm Olivia what's your name?" I ask walking toward the light switch making the lights go brighter.

"Lilly." She whispers I look over and see a small figure. A little girl no older then 5 she is sitting on a bed hugging her knees, as tears flow from her eyes.

"What's wrong?" I walk over to the bed and bend down wiping her tears. Her light blue eyes are red and puffy like her nose. Her blond  hair flowing down messy. Her pail skin red from crying.

"I-I had a nightmare." She said between sobs.

"Want to get ice cream?" I smiled tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Sure." She whispers wiping her tears away. "Can you do my hair please?" She asks looking at me.

"Of course." I smile as she hands me a brush. I brush through her hair before taking her small hand and walking out her room. "I'm new here so do you know where the kitchen is?"

She giggles and nods I see Alessio staring at us but I hold my middle finger up to him, and walks with the little angel to the kitchen.

We get to the kitchen and I go straight to the freezer and take a tub of Ben and Jerry's ice cream and take a couple of spoons. Lilly is standing by the table island. I place everything on the table and lift her onto one of the seats and sit on the next one.

"Want to tell me about the nightmare." I ask before taking another spoonful.

"My mum died before he took me in. I was there when she died. I couldn't help her it was my fault." She whispered with a tear rolling down her small cheek. I put my spoon down and hugged her. She sobbed into my chest.

"I'm sorry Angel. It wasn't your fault." I whispered and she slowly calmed down. Kayla walked into the kitchen with Tommy and they both grabbed a spoon and took some ice cream.

"Hi." I smiled as Tommy hugged me. Lilly looked down and took some ice cream.

"Hi I'm Kayla and this is Tommy." Lilly just kept looking down.

"It's okay there my friends." I smiled and she looked at me and grinned.

"I'm Lilly." She smiled and extended her hand. Kayla laughed and pulled her into a hug and Tommy did the same. She started to giggle smiling.

"How old are you?" Kayla said taking ice cream and feeding it to her.

"5." She smiled and taking more of the ice cream.

"What is this?" Samuel's voice boomed making Lilly frightened. And causing her to drop her spoon

"Were talking and eating." I said in a duh tone.

"Your supposed to be in bed and who are you two." He shouted anger clear in his voice. Angel hid behind me.

"She had a nightmare no need to shout and these are my family Kayla and Tommy." I state taking a spoonful of ice cream and eating it.

"Lilly!" Samuel started.

"Sam I'm gonna call you Sam. She was scared and crying I'm not comfortable you shouting at her while she's in this state. And you wanted to talk?" I said and feed Lilly the little Angel some more ice cream.

"She..." he started and I glared at him. "Okay but you have to put her back to bed. Me and your father want to speak to you and Alessio now in the living room please." He smiled. Lilly held my hand tighter and looked at me like she didn't want me to leave her.
