When I got to my house Sarah was sitting on our cracked front door step on her phone. As I walked towards my 10 year old house Sarah got up and moved out of the way. when I turned the key in the door lock I heard dogs barking. then I opened the door and the barking dogs tackled me.

"Ooph" I said as their barking surrendered to big wet kisses. "Keira get off of me and stop licking me Tori,"

Both of my Golden got off of me. Tori and Keira are both 4 months old golden retrievers. They were born in a litter of 6 and and all of them, including the mother liberty, is still here living with us. liberty must be in another room snoozing away.

" So these are the puppies you always talked about," Sarah said.

My mom didn't want anyone in the house until Tori ,Keira and the rest of the dogs got vaccinations so Sarah hasn't seen them.

"Why Tori and Keira?" Sarah asked out of curiosity.

"Well those are the names that you get when you allow a 5 yr old to choose the names for the dogs. Now let's go down stairs. I need to talk to you big time."

Tori and Keira tried running across the floor after us and they both skid across the floor and ended up slamming into a chair. they then got back up and ran to us. I picked Tori up and Sarah picked Keira up and we walked down stairs. when we set them down the puppies ran straight to the couch and started yapping. Apparently Liberty was snoozing away somewhere and that somewhere is on the couch. alongside the rest of the puppies.

"who's the father?" Sarah asked.

"father? father of what, me or the dogs?" I responded back.

"yeah, I was asking who's your father..." Sarah replied with a drop of sarcasm in her tone.

"ohhh you meant the dogs. Well, we really don't know."

Awkward silence settled in comfortably between us.

"ok, let's talk about what happened with Dave. what did go down? like did he try to kiss you or what?" Sarah asked breaking the awkwardness between us.

I got up and started to wander around fingering stuff." Well, no but I wouldn't have restrained in anyway if he pulled me in."

" I personally think that you two would be perfect together," Sarah stated, "I just have to figure out how to keep Amy from flirting and drooling all over him like, like he's a million dollars."

I was dreamily fingering a lava lamp some one gave me a few years back, remembering that it was an antique so I must be careful with it, when my hands flew up in frustration and I found myself saying "WHAT!!!!" as a priceless piece of my history came tumbling down to our cement floor. I quickly flung my hands up in my face ready for the impact. a few seconds had passed. silence. Sarah and I slowly removed our hands only to find that the priceless lamp I had ever so harshly knocked down, wasn't on the ground in millions of pieces. It wasn't in one piece on the ground either. Nor was it on the table. No, it was in between those two places. a place nothing has ever been without some sort of propeller. it was suspended in mid-air slowly being moved to the ground.

And I was the one moving it.

Authors note: hope you like it. Sorry it's so short, I meant for it to be longer but I ran out of ideas because I'm really tired.
